Read some mixed reviews. After Rogue One I thought I'd give the rest a miss, so didn't watch number 8, but now I'm tempted again. They are so clever at Disney.

Quiz time.... I *think* the song “Better take care” off Backbone is unique in the Quo back catalogue for one clear reason. Any guesses...? The song's bridge section is sung by Andrew....and a second bridge part later on sung by Rhino - 'two' firsts on a Quo studio recording? Well, Rhino singing would be a novelty.

Top band. Seen them so many times and they constantly change their set, including quite a lot of new songs as well. Heep are still great.

What's got me thinking about this is that whilst Rhino's time in Quo has pretty much been controversial from day one who else is there that could have replaced AL any better? When I think about it AL is not someone who can easily be replaced. So in a way why not Rhino?
But what I was really wondering about here is say for whatever reason Rhino were to become permanently
unavailable then its very obvious the best fit for Quo's music at least is AL.
Or is there simply no circumstance whereby Francis would ever work with AL again even though they did work
together for the reunion gigs.
Decades have gone by perhaps AL has mellowed somewhat now and the old problems might not be so bad today.
Why not change your name to clownsville and move this to the joke section?

I am inclined to think a valid reason Quo took on Rhino was because in a way he and AL have similar scratchy
type voices. You're thinking on this simply cannot be correct. Another poster has already mentioned that Rhino did not sing lead vocal on a new studio Quo recording until 2003. Also, back in the late 80's (after Rhino & Jeff joined Quo), Roadhouse Blues & Bye Bye Johnny were kept in the live set. In place of the departed Alan, Rick sang lead vocals on the first of those..... and Francis did so on the second one. Other live tracks performed during the End Of The Road '84 tour that featured Alan on lead vocals were dropped for several years, including What You're Proposing (which featured both Alan & Francis on lead vocals). In 1995, Backwater was back in the Quo live set for a couple of years as was Is There A Better Way during 2008-2009. For each, it was Rick who stepped up to the mic to sing those two tracks. There must be another reason why Townsville is wrong on this one. If only someone could enlighten us...

Recorded Delivery At best it's OK in places. Nothing that really hits the spot and nothing here that I love. Halloween is good and I really like long legged girls Overall I think it's poor. I know Rick felt dumped by the RC because Francis solo stuff had failed and they wanted Quo back. I expect everyone was too nice to mention that the material wasn't good enough. Apologies if I've offended anyone, but I don't hear any hit singles here 2/5 Over and Out Loved it when it came out and listened solidly for a few months. Built to last and with plenty of good material, this is an album I will occasionally go back to. Unlike RC, there's lots I like and two or three I love. In particular Lonesome Road well and truly hits the spot. 3.5/5 We are asked about our opinions. How could anyone possibly take offence?

Must be the best song I've heard in a long time. (Had forgotten about it completely.) Cheers, Rockonquo

Rick was notoriously slow as a song writer; at this rate we'll hardly last the week!
