Francis needs to be careful - disrespect your customers and they will not buy your product. Some will say 'it's just his way' - ok, but those type of answers aren't going to win new fans and could lose existing fans. There's a tour coming up! Compare with Ian Hunter who answers more than that EVERY MONTH from his fans posting questions via a form on his website in the Horses Mouth section. Aye, a good idea - FR should call his... "From the Horses Arse".

Francis Rossi and Roger Waters two egotisic assholes. Roger even attacks his ex band members family and wife in a recent video just because he does not get promoted on the Floyd's website its all about him Rossi is the same its all about him.
Roger is writing a book his memoirs and by going by his last rant he will be saying how he did everything David didnt contribute anything this was my idea not his i suggested that he lied too you. Roger like Francis is alienating and making people hate him for how he is now & not just his politics options and just how bitter he is towards David just because he can't get his own way.

Old news about Roger Didn't some of the fans get together and print a " F*** Roger" T shirt at the time of the lawsuit?

Not trying to offend anyone.
I'm puzzled by all of this. Francis Rossi strikes me as an honest enough bloke, anyone can seem a hypocrite if every interview is pored over and analyzed. At what part during a playing of Blue Eyed Lady does anyone think "I've lost respect for the bloke playing the lead guitar and singing this song". And why is Rick Parfitt revered as some sort of hero? He was a very good guitar player, singer and song writer but his morality left a lot to be desired, but, it's nothing to do with me, we were not related or anything.
This resembles the letters page from Jackie magazine when Woody left the Bay City Rollers, a high watermark in my mates sisters life back in the 70's.

Start a thread on Rick's personal life and I'm sure people will throw shots all day long. However, any criticism aimed at Francis has always been about the band and the music. It's never about his private life away from the band. By comparison, Rick was either at times, by his own admission, lazy or went where the money was... On that basis, I can see why Francis gets it more. If you want to bring their personal lives into it, then we could be here for a long time

Well considering every single song on Hello has been played in the last ten years that would be a starting point. Agree. "Hello!" would be the one. No Alan vocals for a start, and Richie would do well reproducing this era of Rick's voice, when it was a bit softer.
Also, their first album in a run of Number One's. Has at least 2 quintessential Quo numbers that are still in the set to this day. It's short - they could do a hits set before/after.
They won't obviously, but that's ok, we know that!
Richie is also capable of singing some of Alan's vocals. In fact his voice is somewhere between young Rick and non-strained Alan.

Not to get into this debate or anything, this is just personal opinion... If I wanted to hear a Status Quo album played in full, from the golden era, I would have wanted it to be Francis, Alan, Rick, John and Andy that I see and hear doing it. Same way I would have wanted Francis, Rick, Rhino, Andy and Jeff if the Army album had ever been done or with Matt if they had done Heavy Traffic But, that's me and everyone is different

Thanks Tramper for posting a couple of pages for us all to understand what is being discussed. My teenage self from the 70s would have been very upset by his answers. But today, I know that he is VMORR (nice one 4th Chord), I simply giggled to myself, hearing his voice. At least he's consistent in character. Doesn't change how I feel about the music and who he is. I stopped fan worship a long time ago. Now I appreciate him for the music which has brought so much joy to my life and still does. Maybe, I'm even a little sad that he is so grumpy. Carrying anger isn't great for health and mood. For his sake, I'd love him to lighten up a bit.

Have no plan on reading their books and negative stuff. The bands personal issues have zero impact on my life. I simply listen to their great era.

I wouldn't mind handling it like it was done in 1976 with Andy only appearing for a few songs...
