Couple of pages here. Judge for yourselves. Some of the questions are at best naive.. 🥴

Hi guys, I think by answering with these short answers is Francis' way of showing respect to the people who have paid to see him on the talking tour. People there have paid good value money to ask questions and have the opportunity to meet him in person and have a chat. He is much more open when he is providing the gig-goers information as they have paid for that. He is hardly likely to give much detail to emailed questions via a fan club as there is not much to be gained. Anyway, it's quite funny to read one word answers and reminds me of the Monty Python argument sketch where John Cleese won't properly engage in a discussion with Michael Palin! SC It reminds me of someone who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing. Look at how Brian May responds to his fans on Instagram. He’s courteous, kind and empathetic. If someone writes to you and says they have had dark periods in their life but Quo have really helped, a dismissive disinterested one word answer just comes across as someone who doesn’t really understand how human beings behave. Also some of his answers strike me as being by a person who isn’t as intelligent or enlightened as they think they are. I’m sure Francis is a nice guy to his close friends or whatever, but part of being paid millions or pounds to have a public persona he so craves and then constantly telling people that he needs to feel liked and needed, then being a miserable bugger kind of grates on me.

The only thing I have found naff about this so far... in-regards to his vaults. "Whatever I do have in the so-called vaults, I would rather not see the light of day. They are there for a reason." Hopefully he's more so on about his own stuff than Quo, as he had a ton of tapes stashed away in his studio that he and Porter organised to get digitised back in the mid-late 2000s. If he's on about his own stuff - whatever. Suppose he's just stopping himself from any royalties - but his whole mindset will change once Quo come to an end, which could well be soon. It will be his only source of income. I'd actually quite like to see Flying Debris released, and I know it exists. Edit - Then again, I don't think he has a clue as to what has been released anyway. He was clueless, in a recent interview, that Democracy (I think) had been released. I'll double check, but I know it was one of the B-Sides from the TW era

It will be his only source of income. Appreciate the info mate. This just stuck out to me a bit. Quo in name can still venture on, in some capacity but, as a brand, it's fucked Leave the gigs aside, they could easily have made a lot of money, after those FF tours, but they didn't. The swag shop on their page shows this now but, too little too late. Sell the merch in the swag shop, big up the brand, re-release certain FF albums, have the current line up tour, make money off both yet, they fucked it up Whatever Francis may think of Rick or Alan, this is his income as you say and it could be a lot more

I’d love to know how well he knows his own songs. Like the guy has probably written over 200 songs. Probably more. If you’ve written that many can you remember all of them or as I suspect, do the fans know these far better.
Like could he play say, Rotten to the bone, or Where are you now, off the top of his head.
The licks and solos at the FF jam we’re sharp as you like.

I like him. I've met him in both an official capacity where he switches to the man who does the 'job' during a meet & greet and I've met him by accident when he was just passing a table we were sitting at. He stole a handful of chips off my plate and then took the pi$$ out of my, eh, see-you-Jimmy accent He doesn't like or even understand fandom or hero worship. Why would he? He never went through that. Or that's the impression I get. I'm actually coming round to the fact, having read the FTMO again, that there's nothing wrong with it. The brevity in his answers is normal. It's just him. And it's also via a third party. People have moods. I was in a rubbish one yesterday

Not in FTMO. Can u give us an example Q. If you could pick one Quo album to play live in its entirety, what one would you choose? A. I wouldn't Q. Francis, first, thankyou for yout music over the past 50 years. I got hooked after I heard "Is it really me / gotta go home". Why do you think Quo are still so popular after all this time ? A. Popular? If this is so, i have no idea. Q. When you practice, what exactly do you play - scales, locks, arpeggios? A. Yes. Just a few examples.
He definitely let his curmudgeon side get the better of him. Maybe he thinks it sounds funny, but it doesn't in print.

Couple of pages here. Judge for yourselves. Some of the questions are at best naive.. 🥴 Thanks for that. Some of the answers are genuinely informative, mainly questions he hasn't been asked a thousand times before. But some of them are just a bit weird. If he doesn't understand " recorded live " where has he been these last 200 years? And the one about "Popular? if this is so .... " I wonder if he was a bit depressed at the time, it sounds like it. He likes to be " honest " but he's skipping here from " honest " to just plain bad company ... and this IS his fan-run fan club, with questions asked by individual fans.

Democracy was released as Restless's B-side, on the Rockers' Rollin boxset and on the TW Deluxe.
