Fucking comet heading towards earth, about to wipe about humanity and Quo's answer would be to play 4500 times going into Rain...
Quo music controls the movements of the cosmos, so that will never happen as long as we keep subscribing!
I admit I quite like 4500X segueing into Rain (if they have to cut it short, rather they didn't). But this morning it rained with no sign of 4500x (and I didn't even seem the Perseids last week. Cloudy as usual.)

Do you mean on the deluxe edition or released at all in '94? Just released in general. He was asked about political songs and he mentioned In The Army Now before then going on to talk about Democracy. I'll have to find the interview. At first I thought it was one of Andy Snowdens interviews with him, but it isnt. Definitely a radio broadcast however.

Francis needs to be careful - disrespect your customers and they will not buy your product. Some will say 'it's just his way' - ok, but those type of answers aren't going to win new fans and could lose existing fans. There's a tour coming up!
Compare with Ian Hunter who answers more than that EVERY MONTH from his fans posting questions via a form on his website in the Horses Mouth section.

Live his half arsed playing fucking up solos and lyrics again is lazy and shows he does not care and is not giving his full best. His playing of some solos are sloppy and awful and him missing lyrics or not singing them properly is off putting. Yes you can mess up lyrics here and there live time to time all singers do it occasionally but the extent Francis does it, its deliberate or its his can't be bothered attitude

Well I'm glad I don't subscribe to FTMO anymore as this issue would have irked me
I had wondered if he was trying to be funny. Not much of a read though is it?!
If it's just how he is now, well, he was never like that in his contributions to FTMO in the 80's and 90's
I found him hugely likeable when I met him - albeit a long time ago. In recent years he comes across badly more often than not. Boredom with doing interviews isn't much of an excuse. Since Rick's death he has upset lots of people lots of times, never deliberately I'm sure, but this isn't isolated or clever from him.

His book gives quite a lot of insight into his early years, the bullying, the having to toughen up, the ostracisation he felt by way of his Italian and Irish roots (so much so that he'll freely use the term "wop" as a way of dishing it back) - the whole thing points to learned defensiveness from a young age. He's made a career out of a double act with Rick where they were always slightly on the wrong side of being PC (while it was still OK-ish) - so you can see he's always felt the need to go against the grain a bit.
Also, i was quite shocked at how unhappy he (and the other chaps) were by the mid to late 70's. Like, really unhappy. He will defensively want to claw back some of those lost years by being contrary and pleasing himself i think?
But.... stealing mortified's chips - i can't get over that!

If he was to record a new song that stood next to the 1972/1976 output who would care what he said, I loved Piledriver before I actually looked on the back to find out who these bloke were. It reminds of The Life of Brian.

Francis needs to be careful OK...I'm going to be the guy who says it... Milton Keynes in 1984...He stood before a crowd of near 60,000 people, bullshitted them, lied to them, whilst off his face, without a care in the world He treated his best mate appallingly At literally every gig post 2001, on certain songs, his solos and guitar playing were the equivalent of a dog licking the strings and his body language screamed, "don't wanna be here, fuck you"... He is an utter bellend! "Needs to be careful" from who exactly? Never stopped him before

The hero of my youth, Francis Rossi has been steadily chipping away at whatever respect I had for him since 1988. I'll always love his work with the FF and I enjoy a sizeable percentage of the music he's released since then but as a human being he leaves a hell of a lot to be desired. How are the mighty fallen.

If I'm honest, I'm not really that bothered about it. If he doesn't sit down and physically answer the questions himself then that's just the way it is. It seems fairly evident that the other members of the band probably do. I'm getting the impression from quo66 that he is not speaking with the fan club directly and that the answers are via a third party; presumably Duroc Media. Although that's a guess, obviously. I know as little as anyone else. I find some of the responses (not all) a little disappointing and, yes, some of it seems disrespectful; especially to Yvonne who puts in the hard work and tries her best. I'm fairly sure that was not the intention. But none of this will stop me being a fan club member and it won't stop me listening to the music. And, incidentally, it won't change any of my opinions about Francis or the rest of the band. From the outside, he morphed from being a rock musician who enjoyed himself and the road (" it's not a bad life" ) to a hard-nosed business man and an "entertainer" quite a long time ago. The band have been surrounded and managed by hard-nosed businessmen for decades. Prior to that, everyone got ripped off. So I get it. One extreme to the other. Incidentally, I had the FTMO sitting on the dining table last night and Mrs Mortified said that the front cover was putting her off her dinner I said, "it's an artist's impression". She said, "it's a hideous caricature; put it away". I tend to do as I'm told "I tend to do as I'm told" Me too, no rebellion is worth sacrificing food and sex for.

Try this one from Heavy Traffic
"Calm down, come on round And listen to the band"
Listen to the music, it's why we're here.
