Just from some of the replies and the posts being liked, I just want to clarify something, for my own benefit...
So FTMO are getting the blame for not asking more "imaginary" questions. As a former member of FTMO, there was always a Dear John section where fans wrote their questions in. I assume this is the same?
Regardless, defend it all you want, people/fans pay good money to that fan club and he should be respectful of that.
I know some don't like it on here when criticism goes his way and other agendas are at play etc but, if someone PM'd me and asked me what do I practice on guitar and I just wrote back saying "yeah," the individual would think I'm a right ignorant ****! It is no different for Francis Rossi!

As I said, if someone on here asked me about guitar playing and I just said, "Yeah," I'd be labelled rude and arrogant. I do not see how this is any different.

The thing is, what album could Quo play in full live? without the target audience being mainly Frantic Four fans.
It could easily be done, whilst still playing their usual hits. Def Leppard have done tours were they have played Hysteria in its entirety, which tbh was a huge album in itself and full of hits, and then did an encore of hits afterwards.
Hysteria is a 12 track album and comes to an hour, whereas Quo's earlier albums are about 40 minutes in length, so they would have to pack the rest of the show with hits anyway.
If anything, the Rockin' album would work well and they could easily have stage tapes mixed for any backing bits needed for certain songs.
I know Rhino has said he'd like to do the Heavy Traffic album as a live set in the past

Well considering every single song on Hello has been played in the last ten years that would be a starting point.
I find him to be a strange man. I think he almost thinks not giving a shit or being disinterested is endearing. Like the old man who says “I say what I think” not realising that everyone thinks they are a bore.
I would love to interview him though. When he is engaged he is still interesting. But I understand that these answers are not worth the paper they are printed on.

If I'm honest, I'm not really that bothered about it. If he doesn't sit down and physically answer the questions himself then that's just the way it is. It seems fairly evident that the other members of the band probably do. I'm getting the impression from quo66 that he is not speaking with the fan club directly and that the answers are via a third party; presumably Duroc Media. Although that's a guess, obviously. I know as little as anyone else. I find some of the responses (not all) a little disappointing and, yes, some of it seems disrespectful; especially to Yvonne who puts in the hard work and tries her best. I'm fairly sure that was not the intention. But none of this will stop me being a fan club member and it won't stop me listening to the music. And, incidentally, it won't change any of my opinions about Francis or the rest of the band. From the outside, he morphed from being a rock musician who enjoyed himself and the road (" it's not a bad life" ) to a hard-nosed business man and an "entertainer" quite a long time ago. The band have been surrounded and managed by hard-nosed businessmen for decades. Prior to that, everyone got ripped off. So I get it. One extreme to the other. Incidentally, I had the FTMO sitting on the dining table last night and Mrs Mortified said that the front cover was putting her off her dinner I said, "it's an artist's impression". She said, "it's a hideous caricature; put it away". I tend to do as I'm told

Probably doesn't relish the intrusion into his private world/house, especially after the lockdown/s. I know many who feel the same - they find interaction much more of a chore these days, and don't suffer people as easily. I suspect age has a LOT to do with it though.

Well considering every single song on Hello has been played in the last ten years that would be a starting point. Agree. "Hello!" would be the one. No Alan vocals for a start, and Richie would do well reproducing this era of Rick's voice, when it was a bit softer.
Also, their first album in a run of Number One's. Has at least 2 quintessential Quo numbers that are still in the set to this day. It's short - they could do a hits set before/after.
They won't obviously, but that's ok, we know that!

Hi guys, I think by answering with these short answers is Francis' way of showing respect to the people who have paid to see him on the talking tour. People there have paid good value money to ask questions and have the opportunity to meet him in person and have a chat.
He is much more open when he is providing the gig-goers information as they have paid for that. He is hardly likely to give much detail to emailed questions via a fan club as there is not much to be gained. Anyway, it's quite funny to read one word answers and reminds me of the Monty Python argument sketch where John Cleese won't properly engage in a discussion with Michael Palin!

Francis has been giving short one sentence or one word answers to FTMO one for years.
For some reason it looks like they can’t actually speak to him.
It would wouldn’t have killed him to do a zoom or telephone interview in my opinion .

I would've said Hello!, but I know Rhino doesn't like doing the lengthy 4500x and would prefer to watch paint dry (sure he mentions this in the Thirsty Work programme, or one from this period).

SC But from whose viewpoint? The FTMO says "by the fans for the fans". I personally gained a great deal out of at least two of the issues. The suggestion is therefore that my subscription doesn't count, only my meet & greet because it costs more and contributes 'financially'. I don't suppose Rhino or Andy gained anything but they gave their no doubt valuable time and provided a lot of really interesting stuff. This is where the hard-nosed business element rears its head at the expense of just being pleasant for about half an hour.

Who cares, he's just a bloke in a band we all like/liked. What does anyone expect anyway?. What question has he not been asked since 1968? Maybe the answer to this bluntness is in the questions.

I'm sure they would find a way to segueway into Rain... "It was written during that era..." Fucking comet heading towards earth, about to wipe about humanity and Quo's answer would be to play 4500 times going into Rain...
