I suspect Francis does this by email , hence the short answers .
It would have been better had he allowed FTMO a to do a phone or zoom interview as that way he would have been more inclined to expand on the answers.
There looked like there was a limit on the amount of questions too as I’m sure there were loads more which weren’t asked.
The interviews with the others were so much better .
The Rhino edition was just brilliant .

Not in FTMO. Can u give us an example Q. If you could pick one Quo album to play live in its entirety, what one would you choose? A. I wouldn't Q. Francis, first, thankyou for yout music over the past 50 years. I got hooked after I heard "Is it really me / gotta go home". Why do you think Quo are still so popular after all this time ? A. Popular? If this is so, i have no idea. Q. When you practice, what exactly do you play - scales, locks, arpeggios? A. Yes. Just a few examples.

It's just the sheer arrogance of Rossi, and his" I can't be arsed" attitude..😡

I'm shocked that you're shocked tbh Sorry Cammy but ffs That's not an excuse That makes it even worse. If you are answering questions via email, that means you have all the time in the world to write two, three sentences, paragraphs, pages etc. Let's face it, he and the rest of the band are not exactly rushed off their feet given the current pandemic. Essentially, you can expand on your answers, no matter what method or device you choose how to answer. He decided not to elaborate. The end. Whatever way you want to take that, is up to the individual. Although, I must admit, the way he answered the guitar question reeks of dickheadism! That could have been a kid or someone trying to absorb as much information as possible about learning how to play the guitar, from someone that inspires them...

Haven't read it yet. However, I have noticed in the past that the answers Francis gives can be very short. Almost to the point of rudeness. Some of the narrative in his recent book is like that as well. I mentioned it to Yvonne a year or so back and she did confirm that these interviews are done via e-mail. I can't remember what else she said but you don't $hit on your own doorstep Both the Rhino and Andy issues in particular were excellent. As good a read as the FTMO has ever been. It looks like this one will take 3½ minutes. Before my coffee even gets cold

If you are answering questions via email, that means you have all the time in the world to write two, three sentences, paragraphs, pages etc. ....... does he use a computer/laptop, or just email on a phone? If its the latter, a 70-something doing emails via phone, being asked the same old questions, isn't ever going to get a lengthy reply. The questions quoted above aren't exactly imaginative; The one about playing an entire album live a) Quo aren't known for big theatrical albums like The Who or Pink Floyd; they're for the hits, he's used the phrase 'insecure little show off' many times so will always go for the hits to be liked. A full recital of a Quo album will always be very niche / fan interest only rather than those out for a night out before xmas. b) if he wanted to, he could've done so already! The one about practice - scales, locks, arpeggios... again we know he took an interviewer to task a few years ago when they mentioned "3 chords" and asked her "what is a chord"... he clearly finds music terminology talk either boring or out of his depth, so why ask.......... Anyway, could be worse.....

Francis has had a more arduous schedule of late than the others, with his "I talk too much tour". Every day I see pictures of him posted by fans on Facebook, all thrilled to have met him at the Meet and Greet sessions and all appreciative of their interaction with him. He comments on their guitars, their lives, their tastes in music and answers their questions with good grace. Perhaps more imaginative questioning by FTMO would have received less terse answers.

Not in FTMO. Can u give us an example Just for the record: The questions were sent and the reply received way before the Talk show resumed. Some questions and replies were not included. I assume, the questions were read out to him and the responses put in an email at the same time. I can’t see Francis typing them out himself. That’s just my assumption. Why didn’t I go back to Francis? I went back to Management a few years ago when a similar situation arose and was told no. These were fans’ questions and what they wanted to know.

The "which studio album to play live" is a great hypothetical question that deserved a proper answer, even though it would include "but we'd never do it because people want the hits"
He is increasingly hard to understand. If an email question from the fanclub is uninteresting or annoying to him, then he should be patient and answer it decently in his own time
Bored of guitar solos No interest in making new music Bored of interviews now?
I stopped Quoing after Download 2014 and I believe I made the right decision. Only a huge set list overhaul would make me even consider going again, and that's not going to happen
Sad. When he contributed to FTMO in the 80's and 90's he gave long and insightful answers and clearly cared about the fans.
He sounds like anybody does who either should have retired long ago or has been unhappy in their job for a long time

There were 20 or so questions from fans, some longer than the few examples I quoted. Everyone got the same treatment, pure contempt from Rossi. Made very poor reading.
I hope some or one of our cleverer members may be able to download the q and a section. Then those who aren't in the fan club can judge for themselves..🤔
