Who cares, he's just a bloke in a band we all like/liked. What does anyone expect anyway?. What question has he not been asked since 1968? Maybe the answer to this bluntness is in the questions. I get that and agree to an extent with certain questions. The album question is a fair answer but, you're talking about people paying annual subscriptions for this fanzine and the very least he could do is answer some or certain questions better. All he had to do was type (fucking type!!) a few extra words! As I stated previously, my main problem is the guitar question! You do not answer such a question like that. It's very obvious the fan is trying to learn guitar and he's asking his hero a question about it... To answer like that is pathetic. Scenario for you. If you PMd me, asking me such a question and I gave you that answer, would you or would you not log off thinking, "prick!"

What sort of question would anyone ask him? I never see a question put to him about anything other than a music/ Status Quo related issue. Apart from "How's thing right at this moment" there is not much you can ask him. Imagine being asked about something you did in 1973 for about the 200th time and trying to come up with an original answer. Sooner or later "Yes" "No" or "Dont remember"is all that 's left. It might help him out to ask why does he become monosybillic and obtuse even when it's he who agrees to these interviews, and if he dislikes it so much then why does he bother?

I would've said Hello!, but I know Rhino doesn't like doing the lengthy 4500x and would prefer to watch paint dry (sure he mentions this in the Thirsty Work programme, or one from this period). I'm sure they would find a way to segueway into Rain... "It was written during that era..." Fucking comet heading towards earth, about to wipe about humanity and Quo's answer would be to play 4500 times going into Rain... Actually, I've had an idea... They could still segue into Rain, and use it as a way to go into the hits section of the setlist, with 4500x being the last track on the album

Always killed a gig for me when that happened. It never worked!!

I tend to agree with that as well. I dare say it all becomes very mundane and almost inane. And I actually sympathise hugely. I would not want to be in his position. Genuinely. But that's the problem with being in a band that has a successful career span of over 50 years - and are still going. It's a bit like sport. There's a responsibility in terms of media presentation that comes with the job, even if you hate it. And I'm pretty sure most do. The questions are more often than not completely inane and so are the answers 90% of the time. But just take the time. I don't remember many - if any - Q&A sessions with the fan club in the past so we're not talking every day of the week here. As I said, I'm really not bothered one way or the other. But I do understand the (very small) outcry. I can imagine Yvonne wincing as the issues went out in their little white envelopes. The one difference I suppose is that Mike Hrano used to take the stick and Yvonne is pretty much unscathed. Although there has to be a sweat on that people will simply not re-subscribe. That's the real knock-on effect, which would be a shame.

I was watching an interview with Leonardo DiCaprio a long while back. He was in some hotel room in London and was answering questions about The Beach, he was doing well to deflect questions about Titanic and was doing a good job of promoting the film.
The final scence he did in The Beach may well have been filmed over a year before he had to on the publicity tour and remember what the film was about, most film actors never watch their work. So here he is really tired, wants to go home and then this.
He was asked this question by the vacuous idiot from some 2 minute review show that goes out on on Channel 5
"Leonardo, the film is set on a beach, when was the last time you went on a beach?" He did well not to actually say "Fcuk off you fcuking idiot" but his look said it all.
"Francis, do you miss Rick?" "Francis, what about the FF?" "Francis, Alan"?

Which is true to an extent but, I still have my praise and love for him, despite him coming across and acting like a complete and utter bollocks at times!

Rossi appears to be a very angry old man he seems to forget we the fans have put him in the position he is loaded!passes me off how arrogant he is as he was my idle back in the day I reckon you forget that quite quickly after you guarantee security for live, I reckon he may think, and possibly rightly so, he put himself in the position he is in through his talent and the "fans" weren't forced to pay for his standard of living. Have you ever heard the Mark Viduka and the football fan story?

Agree. "Hello!" would be the one. No Alan vocals for a start, and Richie would do well reproducing this era of Rick's voice, when it was a bit softer.
Also, their first album in a run of Number One's. Has at least 2 quintessential Quo numbers that are still in the set to this day. It's short - they could do a hits set before/after.
They won't obviously, but that's ok, we know that!
I would've said Hello!, but I know R hino doesn't like doing the lengthy 4500x and would prefer to watch paint dry (sure he mentions this in the Thirsty Work programme, or one from this period). Is it because he only knows the chords for half of it and the rest is too technical for him before he has to go back too the Come on Eileen chords

Not in FTMO. Can u give us an example Q. If you could pick one Quo album to play live in its entirety, what one would you choose? A. I wouldn't Q. Francis, first, thankyou for yout music over the past 50 years. I got hooked after I heard "Is it really me / gotta go home". Why do you think Quo are still so popular after all this time ? A. Popular? If this is so, i have no idea. Q. When you practice, what exactly do you play - scales, locks, arpeggios? A. Yes. Just a few examples. He'll never change.

Fair enough answer.
2nd question he has answered many times,"the more you think about it the harder it becomes" type of answer.
3rd question could do with an "and" or an "or"
This bloke answers straight out knowing that all his answers will be analyzed and pored over.
The first question should be prefaced with
"If it became a commercialy viable idea that sold tickets and engaged new fans..
The reason he deflects the question is because any answer opens up a whole raft of questions that will eventally end up with FF, Alan and Rick. He should have answered "Bula Quo"
Question 3. Imagine asking a top pro footballer "do you kick a ball in training?"
