I do think we might get something more recent though. There hasn't been any live Quo release I'm aware of after the two Down Down live albums (both recorded in 2017), which means that there's nothing from Backbone represented on a live album, and none of Richie's lead vocals.
As to how it fits with the number, my assumption is that they'd probably try to avoid putting out too many shows from the same tour, when it's just the same setlist with no variation.

Last Night My Motor Broke A Rotor I had to look that one up! I'm not sure I ever noticed any lyrics in "Rollin' Home" besides the title line, that song is so fast I can't hear the bloody lyrics

Riding alone with the thoughts of a scone in my head Thinking all day of something to eat that's not bread I just needed a munch,I missed out on my lunch Everyone dreams of some grub that they own I've decided what'll go on my scone And it's Butter Now. You should get a trophy for that. Holy heck

I expect John Fogerty will be happy with the pension top up too. I wonder who re-wrote the lyrics?
<cringe snipped> Can't believe i just typed that out.
It really is something seeing it on a screen, isn't it? Brrr. Maybe it's just me, but I actually quite like the "and they've dropped them and locked them" bits, could have worked for an anti shoplifting ad! It's just you! I usually cut Quo a lot of slack, but nope. Not this time. Also I would have thought it better to keep the ‘ I like it, I like it….. line rather than locked it and dropped etc. Thank you. That is the biggest hook of the song and putting new lyrics on that bit feels wrong in ways I can't even explain.

I wonder if anyone makes any profit out of these things. They really are aimed at the collector. Only good promotion and marketing will make for enough sales to cover costs I'd have thought. But this is interesting news. And if we're talking about shows not previously released, the interest will certainly be greater. As for these Archive Series, presumably they only cover from 2008 which is when the first Live Here Now gig was released. Anything prior like, say, a gig from the Heavy Traffic tour probably won't see the light of day. Although I'm just speculating. You just never know. I don't think there are any other live recordings from the Heavy Traffic tour besides the Heitere open-air festival. What about the Mexican FM broadcast? Re: the original question by per - here is the graphic designer of the series saying that "around 25 shows" are planned for the series, spanning the years 1999 to 2022. Whether that is accurate, I cannot verify, but if he's right, that would include more years than the Live Here Now discs.

Love it. Did anybody notice the title of the thread? I wonder if that was deliberate

Would be madness to include one less song than on the previous reissue, but these decisions don't seem guided by sanity...
Interesting (well, a bit): QPQ and BQ lack the bonus discs of the widespread original versions, whereas TPAOY keeps recycling the same bonus CD.

I like it a lot and I think it follows well from Gravy Train.
Also fun to notice the allusion to the song in the "treasure map" that was the CD booklet.

You'd need the original multitracks to create multichannel mixes, and I think a lot of the early classic albums like Piledriver don't have them available.
I think I actually mentioned this possibility around the time of the RAOTW remix, though Dolby Atmos wasn't a topic back then.

I haven't looked in here for a while but the break is gone regardless of the theme. Fingers crossed it'll remain that way.

Happy days are hopefully here again! Merry Christmas to all of you from one of the young'uns. (I can soon say goodbye to that 2 at the beginning of my age. Oh well.)

Has it been so long gone? I thought it was still there the last time I looked in here.

Is this intentional? Doesn't look like it to me. The shoutbox has disappeared and every page - front page, forum overview, topic - has a "break" between sections. Looks like this on two different computer browsers. Anyone else with this issue?

That's a great point too dennis Bob would have known Rick from pre 84 days. I don't think Andy wrote songs for them back then, but I've not checked and could be wrong. And he wouldn't have hung with Rhino at all. Andy certainly co-wrote a few that appeared from'78 onwards, primarily with Rick but also with Francis & Alan - never with Bob, I think According to the writing credits, "Falling In Falling Out" was written by Rick, Andy and Bob. It's the only song on the album he has a credit on, and perhaps the last Quo song he co-wrote for a long time ("Invitation", "Keep Me Guessing" and "Late Last Night" were all demoed in the late 70s, but not properly recorded until the ITAN era).
