Mmmm
This song has something, I think it could have become a later day Hold You Back for the live set if they'd tried it
There's also a lot about it I don't like. Overblown / produced but I think there's a good song in here somewhere

Trying too hard to be another jig? I always thought that. And the " what could possibly go wrong?" makes me wince. No idea why; just does. I blame Pip for that one. It just sounds like a producer's idea to speak the words But a very catchy chorus and would probably go down quite well live. Probably too similar to Hold You Back or Burning Bridges and obviously not as well known, which is maybe why it never got an airing. Not the worst track on a good album.

This was a skipper for me for many years. Loved the album (still do) besides one or two - this was one of them. These days though I really enjoy it. Something just clicked.
The chorus is infectious, and what elevates it is the middle part leading into the solo.
Revisiting the full ISOTFC album as I write, bloody good stuff!

Seemed a lot longer than 4 minutes. What's the bit before the guitar solo all about, did Rossi go to the bog and they were killing time 'til he got back, but, would have been good live and it does have an accordion type feel to it.

I'm obviously in the minority, but I absolutely hate this. I think the 4th Chord album is pretty good, but this is dreadful.
I've just heard the solo for the first time though (I always pressed skip before the song got that far) and its the only good thing about it.

Not for me at all this track. One of the worst tracks on the album for me.

I like it a lot and I think it follows well from Gravy Train.
Also fun to notice the allusion to the song in the "treasure map" that was the CD booklet.

The only song on the album that I just couldn't stand listening to. So much so that at the time I burned a revised version of the CD without this track and with both the UK and Europe bonus tracks. Made for a cracking album, without 'Figure of Eight'....

Made for a cracking album, without 'Figure of Eight'.... Rename that album "In Search of a Figure of Eight" and design a new cover. It would be a massive improvement.
