I've taken a look at Apple Music's Spatial Audio section. No Quo as yet, but some bands are already done. The Stones and Floyd are there, along with animated album artwork.
Imagine an animated Piledriver!
I think vinyl and physical copy purists are going to feel forced to succumb to streaming services. They are the only way to hear this music.
Looks to me like innovation in how we hear music is going to be a big thing
If Spatial Audio catches on big time, then I'm sure they will add Quo to the available albums at some point. It's only on Apple. Spotify are bound to be worried and will be developing something else
This is certainly something to be keeping an eye upon

Pass - I mainly listen on headphones these days and don't want to make listening to records an "event" - that is what my DVDs and Blurays are for. Piledriver was recorded intimately with plenty of spill and that is how I want to hear it.
I recently listened to the Who at Wembley Dolby Atmos Bluray, on the full sound system - nice, but won't do it again in a hurry. Live At Leeds vinyl is far superior.
I don't have any Apple products, nor do I have a Spotify account. My record, CD and digital rip collection is plenty for me.

I did notice the animated album artwork with the new Stones album on my iPhone. Very pretty for about 5 seconds but I never really paid that much attention after that. Seemed superfluous to the listening experience. Depends how far they take it I suppose.
Streaming is fast becoming the only easy option but it's not for me. I keep getting badgered to sign up for Apple or Amazon Music; free trial, blah, blah, blah. Being the vintage that I am, owning the music is the thing. No idea why; just is. Although I reluctantly appreciate that there will be a diminishing choice in the future.
Vinyl is a fad. An expensive one with a limited market. It won't last. I'm surprised it's lasted this long. Vinyl and CD's will ultimately disappear, so your choice will be stream or download. I mainly download anyway. The music companies and marketing people will eventually get their way and there will be no physical product they'll need to finance.
But it's an ever changing music world. The method of listening keeps evolving. Unfortunately, the innovation in actually making music, doesn't seem to.

We've definitely lost the investment in bands from labels, taking a chance, giving them some room to grow. It all has to be instant success now.

I like the concept of spatial audio
With stereo we had stuff being channeled to the left and right. With spatial it puts you in the middle with the sound around you
I'm picturing Quo's magic circle, but with the chance to listen to that more naturally from the middle. I think Piledriver could be enhanced by it. Whether Quo stuff will get that treatment I don't know

As a result of this discussion I've ended up reading this: Which - Spatial Audio & feel that I've been robbed of the time it took to do so!

You'd need the original multitracks to create multichannel mixes, and I think a lot of the early classic albums like Piledriver don't have them available.
I think I actually mentioned this possibility around the time of the RAOTW remix, though Dolby Atmos wasn't a topic back then.
