Cwying!
That is a beautiful piece of writing leading up to the one big (brilliant) joke when the central charatcter sings "cwy-y-y-ing"
Then you have to watch it again to check on all of the lyric changes he makes to avoid singing r's - absolutely brilliant writing!

Yup. I'm not a huge AC/DC fan but the opportunity came up to get a ticket on Wednesday morning, so I took it.
They were great fun. Some of the lesser known songs drag a bit - very one paced - but the classics were brilliant.
But the real question is, isn't it, what was Axl like? Well, he was excellent. He is an excellent singer and for the life of me (given that Brian couldn't do the tour) I couldn't understand the fuss when he took over - especially as they offered money back to anyone who wanted it. The Stadium wasn't full and there were tickets for sale from the box office.
But great fun. i smiled all the way through. Whole Lotta Rosie was absolutely superb.

I first heard OTL all the way through which got me into them, but it was after BFY, so my vote is BFY.

I believe that behind the goody two shoes image, they were dirty bitches. Or was that a dream?
I also have the Young and Moody Band doing Don't Do That To Me. Lemmy paid them quite a lot of attention on the video!

The show I attended... Leeds Duchess on the UTI pub tour - they were awesome (true sense of that word, not the overused Americanisation). I'd also like to see Reading '78 'cos it was my first - truth be told I don't remember a lot about it. Xmas eve '81 was also cool.
Those not attended, then the highlights of their career: 1) Reading '73 (and where are the tapes of that? I've got the festival album and DWMT is brilliant! They'll be in a storeroom somewhere!) 2) Cardiff Castle (if nothing else, this one!) 3) Glasgow '76, of course! 4) the full Charlie - we know it's recorded so why can't it be released in full on CD and DVD? I'll accept a mash up of both nights. (Am I turning soft?)

It's a brilliant line which makes sense both ways. Very clever.

Very good. If you reproduce it that tight live then you've got a chance! Keep us up to date.

Generally I find they lack focus for me - I hook onto vocals. But YYZ - Rush - love it.

Always been a fan, for me the golden period was Lemmy, Eddie and Phill. The only weakish record they made was Iron Fist, all the others are classics IMO. After Eddie left they recorded some other very good records but none really came close to the first five. With you all the way, bro'. I still love Iron Fist, tho', not least for Don't let the bastards grind you down - no better motivational song than that. Whenever I need the adreneline (how the f@ck do you spell it?) pumping I play it........LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best album - Motorhead followed very closely by Overkill - two completely different types of album. The crap production on the first album was exactly right for it!

The Exit Stage Left album disappointed me - it didn't show Rush live in their best light - especially after All The World's a Stage. I hate live albums with gaps between the songs - ruins the whole point of them. And Rush used to play Xanadu slower live than in the studio - never known of another band that plays live slower than in the studio. Different Stages restored the balance, tho'. That was brilliant!
I remember when they came back to the UK a few years ago for the first time in 14(?) years. Brilliant! [for those not in the know, they couldn't get a gig over here - the promoters said that there was little interest - when they did come back they sold out arenas! Anyone want to suggest reasons why the music scene is in the state it is?]

Took the missus to see him many years ago and was surprised how good he was. And he wrote genius songs, not least for the Monkees. The Rick Rubin produced album a few years back was meant to be very good. Rubin kept sending him back to improve songs rather than just accept them - one of the reasons I'd love for Rubin to produce a final Quo album. That's what Quo need, in my humble opinion.

My First gig was Farewell to Kings at Newcastle City Hall. Love Working Man. Lost interest towards the end - didn't like the sound of the last few albums. Still one of my faves, though.
