Thanks all. Glad no-one was offended.
It would be great if someone could go into a studio with the master tapes, keep Ricks voice (and probably guitar) and replace all of the out of date sounds on the original. This could then be released with the PLC tracks already recorded.
Thinks: I wonder if I could get a message to John Eden!
Unless some musicians on the board would like to record a version on top of my drums as a tribute?

So here's my tribute to Rick in the only way I know how. I really like his Miss My Baby track even though I've only heard it in bootleg form, albeit much improved by the recent remaster from this board. However, I hate 80s drum sounds so I've overdubbed a more rocky sound. The balance isn't as nice as it should be because the old drums have to be masked but I think this is a little more driving. I'm hoping that the soundcloud link embeds here. soundcloud.com/ant-troman/miss-my-baby-w-drumsHope people can see what I've tried to do and that you enjoy it Love to Rick and thanks for all the fun - hope we get some more music Ant

Unfortunately, having gone out today, I didn't have time to download the individual tracks. Would love to get a copy so another site would be much appreciated.
Great stuff, cheers mate

Howdy all Tried to download the 'remastered' Recorded Delivery from dropbox but it keeps dropping out at 315Mb - anyone know what the problem is? Regardless, thanks for this effort! Same, but if you download the tracks individually it works. Oh cheers, man. I'll give that a go. Well worth the effort.

Really want this remaster if possible. I've had a poor quality version for years.

Ok, so it must have been WYW that was going to be called As It Happens. And I have that programme.

As It Happens was going to be the title for If You Can't Stand The Heat. Dr Feelgood released an album of the same name just before Quo were ready so they changed the name to make sure of no confusion.

Phil Lynott always wanted him to record with Lizzy but didn't achieve it until Black Rose - one of their very best!

My First gig was Farewell to Kings at Newcastle City Hall. Love Working Man. Lost interest towards the end - didn't like the sound of the last few albums. Still one of my faves, though. Yeah, Clockwork Angels has all the musical brilliance buried in a wall of mud. The R40 live versions are superb, though, and really show the class of these songs and how much was lost in the bad production/mix of the studio album. Waiting for a remix... The Exit Stage Left album disappointed me - it didn't show Rush live in their best light - especially after All The World's a Stage. I hate live albums with gaps between the songs - ruins the whole point of them. And Rush used to play Xanadu slower live than in the studio - never known of another band that plays live slower than in the studio. Different Stages restored the balance, tho'. That was brilliant! I remember when they came back to the UK a few years ago for the first time in 14(?) years. Brilliant! [for those not in the know, they couldn't get a gig over here - the promoters said that there was little interest - when they did come back they sold out arenas! Anyone want to suggest reasons why the music scene is in the state it is?] I've got recordings by other bands who also play some songs slower live - Supertramp, Tears for Fears to name but two. However, Xanadu really does sound tired and worn out on ESL. The live version from 1978 (the 3rd CD of Different Stages) is much better - and then there's Cygnus X-1 on that one... I agree - that's a great live recording! Close to the best for m.

Saw them at Manchester Arena in the VERY back row - they were brilliant. The sound was unbelievably good. Fantastic light show (which wouldn't have come across at Glastonbury) - very 70s. Never seen them before but very much better than I expected. And surely everyone should see ELO's version of Roll Over Beethoven live once?

Hi all Hope you don't mind me prostituting my sale of a rare Rush CD on the site. Apologies and love and peace to all who feel music should be free - love you, guys. I've got the MFSL original master recording of Moving Pictures for sale on ebay. This is the best quality recording available for the original mix as it was burned from the original master tapes. Sounds great and is in excellent condition. Have a butchers!!!! www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122026343280?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649Cheers Ant

What a great DVD and setlist that is. By far the best video recording of a CQ show! What about Rocking All Over The Years?
