The Brook the other week was best time I'd ever seen them. Vinnie Moore was on fire, astonishing playing. Having a blast through the albums at the moment.
Carrying on without Phil? Would go along once I think to see what the vibe was. Hope he re-considers though, he sounded fantastic.

I'm taken the approach Ian Brown said onstage in Glasgow when The Stone Roses played their last show together: "Don't be sad it's over, be happy it happened". We'll always have the memories, even if it was only a % of what it was like in their 70s heyday.

I've got a ticket for Wembley Stadium in the summer. I wish I had gone when I had the chance when Glenn Frey was still alive but that was my fault for turning it down.

So Francis just has stuff laying around that he didn't know was there? Why would he not approach the label to release it if he has it? Just put it out like the live at NEC re-release.

Quoincidence Definitely listen to Cheap Trick mate, one of the most underrated bands ever. I'll look into them. I have to say, the one song that stood out to me when they were on was "I Want You To Want Me" Cheers That song is their "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" or "Beth" (big Kiss ballad??) or Wonderwall. Their biggest song by far but considering your setlist was, I'd say it was one of their weakest. Check out the double live album "At Budokan" and then you'll be come Cheap Trick's biggest fan..! Aerosmith and Van Halen are two of my all time favourite bands. I'm fortunate enough to have seen Aerosmith several times plus The Joe Perry Project at the 100 club, amazing night. Only small gripe with Aerosmith is that their UK setlists usually aren't as good as the ones they play in mainland Europe, especially Paris. Plus, for every one show they do in the UK they do 4 in Germany, not having that!
Van Halen are number one on my to see list, apparently they've been booked to headline Download Festival twice in recent years and pulled out both times. I don't care about DLR's voice, or the fact Michale Antony isn't with them anymore, if they could just get along long enough to realise there is serious $$$ to be made in Europe, I'd be over the fucking moon.

Keep toying with the idea of getting a ticket, I am a fan of Skynyrd. Not sure if there will be a Quo winter tour or not at the moment.

It was much too real for poor old Francis. I did all 5 Hammersmith shows, best I've ever seen.

Ah man, just read your review of Stereophonics at Morfa. I love the DVD of that show, absolute prime Stereophonics as well. I didn't see them until Earls Court on the You Gotta Go There to Come Back Tour but that was an amazing show and seen them a few times after as well.
