First time seeing Leppard and it was a fucking blinding gig!
Hysteria & More Tour, Support Act; Cheap Trick
I had honestly never really listened to Cheap Trick... I knew of them, just didn't know any of their tracks and tbh expected them to be worse than they were... BUT I wasn't there to see Cheap Trick so onto Leppards set
Definitely THE BEST atmosphere at any gig I have ever been to! including Quo gigs.
Setlist; [Hysteria Album] Women Rocket Animal Love Bites Pour Some Sugar On Me Armageddon It [Tribute to Steve Clark] Gods Of War Don't Shoot Shotgun Run Riot Hysteria Excitable Love And Affection ---------------------------- [Songs from before and after the release of Hysteria] Promises* [First time since 2015] When Love And Hate Collide Let's Get Rocked Rock Of Ages Photograph
They have upped their game going from footage of tours prior to this one, and have to say I will be seeing them again when they return... And There Will Be A Next Time!
A massive bonus to this is that the whole tour is being filmed for a documentary, so that's something to look forward to!
Cheers

Haven’t listened to it in years though. Hysteria has some great songs but a large number of very average ones. Hysteria and Love Bites are great power ballads. Sadly his voice is shot, so if it sounds great, let me think how that’s done ?

Sadly his voice is shot, so if it sounds great, let me think how that’s done ? It's not autotune or any shit like that because it's obvious when an artist is using that. If he's doing the right warm ups, which he clearly is doing before the gig, it will make singing easier for him. It's only like when Ricks voice fluctuated and he went through phases of sounding really good, and his voice was shot. Hysteria is an album I can listen to all the way through. Great album. Pyromania I can do the same with... however I've never really gave the first two albums a proper listening to... just the odd track Cheers

Only seen them once, 1991 in the round at Earls Court.
Superb gig.....I was very tempted to go this year but have spent so much on concert tickets this year I really couldn’t afford it.

I have to say, the one song that stood out to me when they were on was "I Want You To Want Me" Cheers That song is their "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" or "Beth" (big Kiss ballad??) or Wonderwall. Their biggest song by far but considering your setlist was, I'd say it was one of their weakest. Check out the double live album "At Budokan" and then you'll be come Cheap Trick's biggest fan..! Liverpool Echo Arena: Hello There Big Eyes California Man Downed Ain't That a Shame Voices I Want You to Want Me Dream Police Surrender Goodnight Now

Purchased the 2lp set recently off of discogs after what you said, just haven't had chance to give it a proper listening to yet. Cheers
