During the Frantics' rehearsal at Shepperton when he sings "I woke up with a hard-on" in Backwater. Not really. Rick's been so completely consistent over the years it's very difficult to single out a 'moment'. Any time he launches into Caroline basically.This. When they go on stage during the drone, and he starts Caroline. The feeling of joy that rushes through the body is unbeatable. No one in the world can play it like he do.

Some great ones on here that I can't hope to match. But I'll never forget my first Quo gig in '88 (not their finest hour granted) but for 15 year old me stood right in front of Rick as he appeared out of the fog, legs apart and launched into Caroline at what seemed like permanent ear damage volume it was a beautiful beautiful moment, that totally reaffirmed to me that I was right and they were the best band in the world. a close second is when I queued up to get my copy of 'Just for the record' signed and Rick largely ignored me but instead spent some time quite openly trying to chat up my then girlfriend... legend! you sure about that first bit 86' up until '88 they opened with WYW Yep, I'm sure! never said it was the opener (first song of the encore I think?) but its my enduring memory from that night letsrock

When he said, "I'm not a great fan of the whole acoustic malarkey" GIRFUY Rossi and Porter. You beat me to it. I was about to say "When he told Rossi he can f#ck his acoustic bollox right off."

I heard him on the radio picking him and FR's top 12.He was at his funny best and even got in a hysterical Henry Cooper impersonation. It was easily the best Quo interview I've ever heard because the interviewer was nobodys sycophant.

Obviously way too many to mention but, the first moment that springs to mind is during ROLD on the NEC '82 vid/tv broadcast, the section just after the quiet solo bit, leading up to the 3rd verse, where the camera zooms in on RP goin stage front with his right hand goin 100mph!, don't know if it was pre planned for the cameraman to be at that vantage point for that 10secs or whatever it was, but that image is priceless!!
