No, you're right, its not been announced. I think its a warm-up gig for Hyde Park which will be the first time the Aquostic line-up will have played in a while. I know that they did a private warm-up before the Roundhouse last year because they told us at the gig. So members of the fan-club were offered the chance to buy tickets for a relatively small venue, Union Chapel in Islington. Tickets aren't even on sale on the venue website or on Quo's fb page. I have just done a lot of digging around on the net to find details of this un-announced gig, having found it I see it is on September the 9th; now the last Rick update only said they were using substitutes for July and August, that being the case has it actually been announced to the fan club saying Rick will not be playing? Perhaps you should read Derryquos threads you would have found the details easily. Glad to see you now accept they have booked a gig without Rick. There was an update in the Aquostic 2 press release which I posted in full on this site. Others have posted news from FTMO. I am told the plan is for Rick to return in October but that depends on his health and they will take it as it comes.

The bottom line really is (and I said this before though PF chose not to pick up on it, preferred to find the bit in the post to argue about instead) is: MANAGEMENT NEED TO POST PROPER UPDATES ON RICKS RECOVERY! This is what the fans would prefer to see rather than pictures of summer gigs, gig announcements, sponsorship of bottles of beer, books, etc, etc. - just TELL US HOW RICK IS DOING !! They won't post anything regarding Rick, because they have nothing to gain from announcing it. They don't want people clamouring for refunds. They don't want the backlash. Anything negative they have to say, they'll keep it hush-hush (i.e. via a fan club where members are threatened with expulsion for revealing information). Or they'll post about it publicly, but drown it out with lots of other stuff (beer, books, etc). Like they did with the FF to stifle its success. Porter knows what he's doing. It's all about money, money, money to him. Must be funny in a prick man's world. Oh... Apparently... Rick won't be back until the UK leg of LNOTE.

What dates are you wanting them to re-schedule?

The fucking tour! It's not even a massive one. They are selling tickets, for this tour, with Rick on the posters and Rick on pressers for it and they know damn well he won't be there for the majority of it. That's treating people like idiots. It's also false advertisement and morally diabolical Now, of course you'll defend them to the death and I know full well you're going to go "there is no way they could reschedule the tour." Well, U2 rescheduled an entire American tour in 2005 when The Edge's daughter fell ill and the entire tour was a sell out, on a month's notice.....Porter and co have known about Rick since July. An entire 3 months before the tour. They could easily have rescheduled the tour for when Rick was fit enough Travis lost their drummer for ages due to a spine injury. Dates, tours etc all rescheduled. Oasis lost Noel for a bit due to being attacked on stage. Everything rescheduled at the last minute The U2 example above. I could go on....But, I could put a waistcoat on a dog and some CQ fans will still call it Francis and pay money to see it

Look at deepthroat's post above. But yes, I agree, that it doesn't make sense he would only play part of the tour unless of course he is much sicker than we know and he needs that amount of rest. Folks we need to wait for an official announcement before we can sure Rick will only play the UK dates.

He will have to be careful whatever. Take each gig as it comes.

NOBODY has said that Rick will NOT be playing on the Last Night Of The Electrics Tour Nobody from the Quo camp has That's exactly what I meant - NOBODY from the Quo camp (in other words 'those who know')
I don't count 'Derry Quo taking legal action against the promoter (wonder how that's going )' as an official announcement

Right now, I'm looking at an advertisement for the gig here in Ireland, in the newspaper and Rick is advertised. If he's not there, this is actual false advertisement so I've no clue what they think they are playing at. Not everyone is a gobshite

Its Frame66 trying to calm down a spat on C&C and he says, "easy, easy, he will be back for the UK tour" but he does not confirm if that actually means only the UK element of the winter tour. Or if he means the European/Irish legs also. Interesting to note in that thread that Rick's son has tweeted another lovely pic of Rick looking good. I've put a copy of photo up in Rick on the mend thread. twitter.com/RickParfittJnr?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor
