Very pretty, and both off those two albums Cats and WC - but for transportation you need some of the other stuff too... Acrobat and Wheels are my top two favourite Sab songs. You know your stuff.

I like Paranoid...
Iron Man is a giggle at the beginning with the demented robot Ozzie's crazed singing is always a laugh as well
But overall it doesn't do much for me.

Sabbath up to Technical ecstacy... Phew! They were good! Then it became a bit ... commercial and then Dio came! And then Gillan came!! And Tony! And Dio! Hmm... Somewhere I lost connection, I ran out of songs to play... Iommi is a god, but the way they treated Bill Ward is nothing but shameful, so I let them go.

And no wonder, Cats! That is like focussing on "The Wanderer" and "Dreaming". But its not Quo, so it doesn't count. And its my prerogative to be inconsistent on this occasion

It makes me laugh when people say Quo is not Quo without Rick. Status Quo has been going for 50 years, only 15 of which had Frame, Nuff, Spud & Regg in the band. Was it still Status Quo after John left? I thought it still was. Was it still Status Quo after Alan left? Not really, but I've had 30 years to get used to the idea. Is it still Status Quo when Rick is not in it? Well it still sounds pretty much the same. When I went to see Francis play his solo tour and he played all those great never before heard Quo songs like Claudie & You'll Come Round etc., I enjoyed it so much more than any Quo gig I'd been to recently at the time. I don't think a group of musicians could go out on stage without Francis Rossi and call themselves Status Quo. It's really just about the music. I've enjoyed a variety of Quo tribute bands recently, and none of them have got any original band members in it, but I've enjoyed it because of the music. I'll enjoy watching 'Status Quo' because of the authenticity of Francis Rossi's voice and guitar playing, but that's about it. They've been on karaoke autopilot for so long now, that it's pointless to start picking holes in it now. It is what it is. Some of us have been noticing and complaining since 86! So if you think the decision is based on insurance and you don't think they can go on stage without Rossi, What would they have done? Cancelled ? And so it is alright for the band to lose money if you are right for Rossi but not Parfitt? Insurance is based on risk. The risk of Francis not being able to perform (and a show therefor being cancelled) is much lower than that of Rick, that is why they can get him insured but not Rick at this point.

But do you think they can perform without Francis. They know they can't PF. They did cancel the Ingleston gig in Edinburgh last year 'cos Francis was ill. We were all gutted as we missed out on the camping.

But do you think they can perform without Francis. They can't. However that is considered a normal risk - anything might happen to anybody and they'd have to cancel a gig. Insurances have to live with that. They won't cover up for somebody who has obvious health problems.

Cos to me without Rick they aren't whatever the ins and outs of insurance.
