I'd say among other bands and musicians of a certain age with respect, they have a great back catalogue and have kept up a level of work that many young bands wouldn't cope with. Amongst the members Francis has always been aloof so I wouldn't say many would regard him as a friend, Rick was always the fun guy when socialising and Andy commands great respect for the sheer talent he has. I've never been mocked, lots of people in the industry would love to have maintained their level of success so late in their career and being able to sell so many tickets year in year out.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Oxford gig/show on Thursday! We went with an open mind and the opening few songs were storming! The band seemed to be enjoying themselves as well as the audience. I didn’t notice Richie’s guitar being too low, sound seemed to be fine for me. The middle section dropped a bit and the Boriental definitely has to go! The Backbone songs were ok but obviously Umleitung would have been epic! All in all, we decided we would go and see them again so will try to get tickets for Wembley now!

The band performed Umleitung at the Harlow Playhouse Viv!!.......but that was 50 years ago

Went to Bath on Friday and I agree that the opening few songs were fantastic but there was a bit of a drop off before picking up really well towards the end. The microphones sounded slightly muffled at times but still a fabulous night. Rossi was on form as usual with his humour and great chords. Not sure they needed 4 songs off the Backbone album although I suppose it's understandable being the latest one. I do like The Oriental (I don't know why but I do) but perhaps a couple off Backbone and swap the other 2 for Backwater and 4500 times. It was my son's first time seeing them, he's in his 20's and it was his Birthday weekend...he loved it!

The Oriental went into the set because the old message board basically demanded it...Rhino wrote about it in one of his tour logs... Be careful what you wish for...

The Forum, Bath last week was my first Quo gig since December 2016, it was very enjoyable overall, mind you choosing to sit with the 'Blue Rinsers' in the Circle wasn't the best choice looking back, the most passive Quo audience I can remember, perhaps it's just an 'age' thing?? A few wanted to stand (like me) but the Oldies in the audience were having none of it... Read elsewhere about possibly too many tracks from 'Backbone' but as Quo haven't exactly been known for Set changes through the years, it did seem quite 'fresh' by Quo standards, personally speaking I think only 'Cut Me Some Slack' is worth persevering with, glad they kept 'The Oriental' in, it's different Quo indeed, but still can't understand why they continue to play 'Beginning of the End', never done anything for me 'live' but obviously the Band rate it, the rest of the Set was the usual 'swap round' but liked the idea of 'Paper Plane' as the encore rather than the 'mish mash' of part songs' and the end of 'Bye Bye Johnny' and it's been nigh on 6 years since we sadly lost Rick and Richie's increased vocal contribution worked for me, perhaps they still need to add more 'beef' to his rhythm sound contribution to get towards Rick's sound? Finally, Quo watered down the playout to 'Caroline' too much, perhaps listen to 'Caroline Live at the NEC' in '82, you'll see what I'm getting at Overall, it was so good to go 'Quoing' again, roll on Bournemouth in December

I went to Bilbao to see the gig yesterday. The two "surprises" that I was expecting to see, the rumours were true, two of the four from Backbone were dropped. A shame because I was looking forward to see them.
