Can't believe how I haven't noticed until now but an ambulance makes its way through the crowd during the intro to Backwater! Obviously the official release at the time cut around it but you can partially see it here and there. The video starts when you can first see it just off to the right side as Rick walks to the front of the stage, then shortly after again more towards the centre. kursaal75 do you know what happened at all? You can see it better on the Private Footage

I was in front of Parfitt for the first half of the gig, so I wouldn't had noticed it.

Here's a question... I dunno who Steve was or how he managed to get uninterrupted video-ing access - but why is it that some of his work is in the official VHS's? It's noticable in some distance shot 'between song' parts
Was he part of the recording crew?
[Some years ago I made my own DVD and added in some of the missing songs using Youtube and I remember that one particular link was frame-perfect [no pun intended!] Unfortunately the audio-video sync went wonky when I burned it to DVD and I've never bothered to try fix it]

the distance shots were done via a camera in the yellow tent in the middle of them bowl. Steve was using a VHS camera, whereas the official ones were tape reels. Cheers

He filmed both Quo gigs in Sheffield in '86. He also shot the support act slots also for both MK and Sheffield

The lover needed a doctor? That's actually very, very funny! And no, I have absolutely no recollection of seeing an ambulance at the gig. Or for that matter anybody talking about it afterwards or on social media in these latter years!
