I'm paraphrasing, but nevertheless... Rhino: "ZZ Top are doing it for the money." Also Rhino: "I can't wait for my next royalty statement." Of course Rhino likes getting paid ! But he loves playing music. He doesn’t do his own gigs for the money- he just loves playing music . It's a very hypocritical accusation to make at ZZ Top, considering his leader's words over the last 12 years...

Doing a Facebook Live "gig" on Saturday at about half 7 or 8 Nothing fancy, just myself, my guitar, my voice and my phone. No microphones or big set ups. Just doing it for fun and hopefully it entertains anyone who watches, in some way shape or form. If it's good, great and if it's shit, oh well www.facebook.com/brian.clarke.526That's my page if anyone wants to add me and have a look. Will do a Quo tune

Rick wanted to leave the current band, do something with Alan and John and get someone else in. Why didn't he do it? Between 2014 (last FF reunions) and 2016 (when he actually had to leave), there was plenty of time to leave. But no, he stood around and even participated in the release of two Quo acoustic albums. Were there contracts to fulfill or something? What happened? Speculation obviously but, probably fear of leaving behind a steady career and starting a new one, which wouldn't be as financially rewarding

If I watched the MK video now, I might form the same opinion. But at the gig and also when watching the video at the time of release, I thought the whole thing was marvellous. A highlight of my Quo 'career'. Maybe I'd best not listen to it again. Lest it spoil a very good memory Reports of Selhurst Park sound similar to my experience at Monsters of Rock at Donington. It rained then an' all. And Quo were pi$$ poor. As was everyone else on the bill. Nah, the video is good because Rick and Francis' vocals and guitars were touched up. The bootleg, Francis butchers some of his solos, his voice is flat on some songs and I've no idea what he was playing at one part during 4500 times

We can't judge the personalities of the band But, Francis and Rick should have been fired on the spot after that!! Flat vocals, some solos all over the place... Fuck... Pete, Alan and Andy held it all together... It does add fire to the wrong one was gotten rid of argument...But, that's not the reason I'm posting... Fuck man...That's my childhood goodbye ha. For those who said Pete was the star of the EOTR tour, I totally get it now. For those who talk about the chemistry of the FF, whilst I saw them numerous times, I get you now. Fuck!

Only really ever sat down to listen to the guitar arrangements on the mid section this morning.
Makes one cross eyed. Great guitar interplay. Criminally underrated

Thank you to anyone who took the time to listen and to those who posted nice things.
Not a poor me thing at all but, it's my first venture into solo stuff, no clue what I'm doing, just writing from the heart, I have to play everything myself. As I said, I'm from a community where I'm told I'm shit, I'm not good enough etc. So I apologise for my down beat ways I guess. Just how I am. Didn't mean to come across badly

That demo song sounds very good FW ! Would love to hear a complete version of it with the other instruments with it too ! Also enjoy your improvisations, particularly the jazz one. I don't know why you think they are shite tbh. I think they are very good ! The opening section of your song had a real Floyd feel about and your guitar work really was Gilmouresque. Great song melodically and lyrically. Definitely not shite! Thanks for giving it a try. Teenage years and in my twenties, I was/am in a society and surrounded by people, constantly telling me I'm not good enough for anything or putting me down etc etc. It's become a mindset

they were still better than anyone else
Just listen to it...Fuck me!
He can piss and moan about Crux, Alan, JC, Rick etc all he wants. I get it, a band is a very different dynamic than most others in life. Rossi plays the game though. "Oh they didn't do what I want, woe is me. Look what I had to deal with." He is talking utter pony with that. Trying to dictate to Alan and Rick to play like The Eagles, despite them playing and writing A Year, Lonely Man, LOAI and arranging and playing on FFF, Claudie, Someone Show Me Home, whilst throwing his toys out of the pram over MT is fucking hilarious. He, like the rest of them, needed each other!
They all had issues and contributed, in some cases unknowingly, to the downfall but, it's what gets my goat about Francis and I say that is someone who holds him as my music hero! (Rick was lazy and Alan, as smart as he was, couldn't see past blind loyalty) Not happening now but, drop the fucking ego, Francis! What you wanted to be in your head, your ego sent you on a 40 year trip away from that destination!
Still though, Alan's vocals in that clip. Class!!
I'm drunk...

Also, here's a jazz improv and a Railroad improv solo if you find that a big bag of utter shit!
They're all shite tbf. Everything I do is shite. But, fuck it I guess
