I hope Recorded Delivery will be remixed and released now after Rick died.... Just read an extract from an interview with Rick and the tapes are still around. He more than likely had them in his archives or whatnot, cause he said they was collecting dust

Rather than the record company just issue the album as it was recorded I'd rather the tapes were handed over to a decent producer and everything apart from Rick's vocals and guitar were scrapped and it was re-recorded as a tribute but with all present and past members of Quo playing on it, a mix and match so not necessarily Frantic Four but a real coming together of Quo as a tribute to an amazing man, so the final album sounds like Quo not poppy as Pip Williams had it.

Not a bad idea considering we already have many of them in their original form from B-sides and the ones that were thrown on ITAN

Exactly, some were great songs with great vocals but for me really let down by the production, too light and poppy and not making enough of Rick's great rhythm guitar.

Is your solo project, Recorded Delivery, ever going to be released?"I really don't think so. At the time I did it back in '85 or so, I was pleased with it. It kind of freaked me out to do it. It gave me a sense and feel for what I was capable of. But now it's been gathering dust and most of the tracks have come out on B-sides, which is a bit unfortunate I suppose. I would have liked them to have come to light in a much better way." Are any more songs from it going to turn up as B-sides?"I don't think so. The pot's fairly empty. Most of them, if not all, have been released as B-sides. However, there is one song I wrote which I love, Halloween. I might have another shot at it some time in the future." Would love to hear a RAW sounding version of 'Halloween'! great track

Has anyone got a track list for Recorded Delivery? I have no idea which songs released were first intended for that album.

Ooh-er... Just tracked down some of the unreleased tracks on YouTube. Rick defo was not stuck in the 70s at this point ... these are more early 60s with some 80s jingly bits on them. I trust that Rick's decision to remain a rocker and not join future Acquostic gigs was the result of decisions like this made in the 80s ... this definitely undermines any idea that he was a committed rocker and left to himself would have rocked out - no sign of rocking out here. Halloween is a whole lot better ... but why take a good rock song like that and smother it in not very classy icing? Even though this was the 80s, not many chart hits were tarted up like that, so what's the point? It's like aiming to fail to sell to either market ... Pip Williams can do better than that, I don't know what he was thinking of.

Much as I'd like to like this album of Rick's, I don't think I could, even a remix.

Love the tracks used as b-sides for the Army album and really loved My Baby.
The notation and melody and lyrics made that one stick out

Pip Williams can do better than that, I don't know what he was thinking of. I really don't think that is the case. Especially as we are talking about music written 3 decades ago. Back in the 80s that passed as rock music. Melodic rock but rock. Unusually for Rick he was pretty consistent on wanting to finish next year. He wasn't as keen on acoustic strumming. But when he was faced with supposedly an acoustic only future he said no thank you. I prefer to rock. This is complex. Most rock bands play a range of music. My Dad considered himself a rocker. What he meant was in the 50s into the 60s he was a So in his mind maybe that is what he meant.
