Rhino if he had not been asked to join SQ post 85 he would of dis spared into obscurity a long time ago. He got a big break by joining Quo the same way as previously mentioned by someone earlier regarding Guy Pratt of Post Roger Waters Floyd. He does his bits on the records and solo stuff for David when he does tour doesnt speak down of the floyd fans as he himself is a floyd fan. He knows the score unlike Whino who is well a complete berk Although to be fair most of the Bass work on the classic Floyd albums was played by David. Roger's genius was in the writing department. Gene Simmonds has often had a go at Ace since he was sacked from Kiss. Though I think that Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer have been on a hiding to nothing in replacing Ace and Peter. Deep Purple have been mentioned and you know it's a shame that Gillan won't play any of the tracks from the other purple eras. As he says "those records are like someone else shagging your wife".

A case of the weak and unstable vs the strong and stable I think
The lack of sound-bites and clichés on 4ths board is refreshing though these days Yes. This is a 'STRONG AND STABLE' board. The Administrator's NOT FOR TURNING. Not even for a fiver?

That is true with the bass work on the classic era floyd albums David played alot of bass on various albums even tuned Rogers bass for him in the 70's at gigs. David and Rick were the musical side of the band Roger the writing and concepts behind the lyrics and albums

"Since Rick [Parfitt]’s not been there, I’m doing a lot of singing, and all of a sudden the microphone’s looking like a serpent!"
Well had I been tempted to go back and see them, that news would definitely make me see sense and keep well away
"There was a time, up until he moved to Spain, when we were very, very close, but when he met [third wife] Lyndsay, he changed a bit as a person."
So if Rick changed after meeting Lyndsay, maybe that had an effect of the Rick/Francis relationship and a lot more?

Anyone got the interview by any chance? That page no longer exists apparently It's on the main page of the website , the link doesn't quite work. For balance , Rhino also says the ff show was one the best gigs he's ever been to (contrary, yes). He said he's glad FF didn't get asked to do download. He's just being honest. Of course he wanted to play download - who wouldn't? That gig will be the highlight of Leon's career , and also one of Rhino's. I also think he's entitled to be proud of HT - an album that created genuine excitement when it came out. HT hasn't aged well since 2003. And neither have I

It would appear someone didn't take a liking to my 'bad tick' post.

Error 404 - Page Not Found They simply changed the date in the link to may. So I've amended the OP and the link now works.

The double standards on here, as usual , are incredible.
I don't recall any criticism when Rick and Spud criticised the Frantic Four's playing .
Spud admits he upped his game for the second tour .
And Rick alluded to the fact that on the day job everyone comes in when they are supposed to etc .
And Rhino says that despite the playing not bring up to par, the thing was great.
But that doesn't fit the anti Rhino agenda on here.
Plus long before the reunion and Hello Quo he did say that the original band should work together again. So he was always encouraging of it.
But a read through this thread reminds me why I don't come in here a lot any more.
It's the politics of the playground at times

The guy thinks he's top dog now, clown, all his idea to get FF together again he just couldn't wait for it to go wrong ' live ' and say it was great, he'll never be accepted in my eyes, and i'm fine with that. He's got an axe to grind, plainly obvious cause he's a tool.
