Actually I went there....just to find out that Rhinos singing on Rock'n roll music is a bit so so .....
RP is gone so take 'his' songs out if you want to carry on with this farce Francis...please.
I understand why you say this, I really do. But what about royalties for Rick's youngest children? Sounds like they will need the money. And in that way, I do believe they want to honour Rick's legacy. Still heartbreaking though. You really think playing Rain and WYW are going to generate that much income?
It's not as if they're Liam Gallagher, playing a set full of Noel's songs. It's just yet another excuse/lie

Have you ever sat in a car on a long journey with a Joe Bonamassa fan singing out loud for hours at a time? I have.....
Nothing against JB but three hours being serenaded (plus passenger seat air guitar) without a break is not the kind of gig I would buy a ticket for
Thats bordering on aural abuse dear catlady... I bet you enjoyed the fresh air and silence once out of that car. ;-) Italians are 'passionate' singers Does that include Francis?

I just listened to the entire thing, the mix is one of the worst I've heard on any live recording, whoever produced/engineered needs to go back and be taught how to use a mixing desk. Having said that, big hats off to Andy Bown on absolute top form, specially on Hammond.

With Rick gone, doing that exact same set as if he's still there, is unforgivable.

I reviseted in search of the fourth chord on my way home from north devon hols today.....i know, kill me now.......( i played on the level while on a road trip during the holiday, much more enjoyable) but anyway, think theres only about 3-4 tracks on isothfc that i can really say i enjoy, but not REALLY enjoy, just "that's quite good, or bit different". In showbizzy rock terms, (not on a personal level with his family obviously) Rick checked out, shuffled off, ....errrrm....died.....at the right time before any credibility (again, in showbizzy rock n roll terms, not in his personal life......sigh) was lost forever, and he ended up, miserable as sin, sat strumming accousticly next to Francis (who lets face it, may as well have been 55 when he was only 35, can kind of understand that, nothing wrong with craving a quiet life if you're that way inclined!!) and wouldve keeled over from sheer boredom in the end anyway. What foes it say in that Pensylvania blues tonight nonsense, thge last verse, "it doesn't mean a thing, not anything at all, just something else to sing, penslyvania blues tonight ect ect" yes thats one of the 3-4 on isothfc that i actually like for some reason, shame on me. Francis is a real stubborn jerk (management as well) for not retiring the the mighty Quo brand name, i would absolutely go and see his solo outfit at a theatre within taxi home from me, he'd still make a comfortable enough living from small solo gigs, but "Status Quo", nah, i wouldn't go even if i had a free ticket these days, stop it Francis, just stop it. Rant over.

Rossi's Hired Help Band, are playing 30 minutes away in Brentwood this evening, am I going? I'd rather watch a rock cover's band in a local pub this evening. It must say a lot, when this time last week (Saturday) I was making my way for a 2½ hour trip to Woking, for JC's Quo.

Id go along for sure, just too have a quick look at the sados with their Bula/aquostic patches clad denim jackets who will still be stood in the queue in anticipation of seeing their hero's rock the roof off. Appoligies to any sados who read this but ffs give your heads a shake and finally admit STATUS QUO are over .

Putting aside Bula Quo which was done specifically for a film, ISOTFC was the last album I really enjoyed and better than the patchy and one-paced QPQ.
Its been downhill ever since, with the decline sadly accelerating even faster since the loss of Rick. If JCQ ever played close enough to somewhere easy enough to get to and back in an evening I would go without hesitation.

And it could have been a real good album had it only been full of songs like Frozen Hero, Dust to Gold, Movin 'on and one or two others. but yea... ever since indeed....and feel exactly the same way about JCQ

Some hung up their Denim jackets when John and then Alan were ousted, but some hung on to the Rick and Francis incarnation. Some then lapsed but then came back (me) and some joined the party in the intervening years. The straw that breaks the Quo fan's back is different for everyone and if some people still get some enjoyment from a CQ show, I don't think it makes them saddo's. But I certainly think that the end moment has come for a significant amount of the fan base.

Maybe there are simply too many songs on it? I don't know.

As Viv has said we all have different " Breaking Points " but surely the death of Rick and the Aquostic efforts prior to his departure would finish off any interest for most would it not?
If you are still hanging on in there the use of the word album should be changed to product as after all we appear to be just customers rather than fans.
Why would anyone want to buy this album sorry product, bearing in mind the routine set is totally beyond me.
Sorry.
Peace and love to all as we go in search of the many good tribute bands to retain our interest in Quo rock songs.
Peace and love to all
