....and I don't believe any Quo album has ever been less anticipated than this Quite sad really that a new live Quo album seems to have virtually no hardcore fans openly interested in it. I'm still scratching my head about the marketing. An album to celebrate the last ever electric tour....released the same week as a PR campaign to explain that tickets are onsale for the new electric tour. Have the management been drinking? A case of it being too late and too expensive to scrap the release once the decision to carry on and stay electric was made, in other words one almighty fuck up.

Even taking into consideration the absence of Rick and the subsequent animosity caused by Francis, Porter etc not keeping their gobs shut, what reason is there for anyone to be interested in a set that is basically the same as Live At Montreux from eight years ago?
And this was supposed to be the last electric tour yet Quo changed nothing from the previous year bar taking out Rick's songs that Rhino for some reason chose NOT to murder.

Sorry to harp (I can't play the piano) but this is a truly bad cover. They all look like they've just dropped in from the garden. Could they not muster a Lemmy t-shirt between them? I know that is their stage clothing, but it didn't look quite so yawnable when they were actually playing.
Pretty coloured round things, though.

Who is going to buy this, other than the OCD collector, or..., erm, I can't think of who else might want to buy this.
Not me, that's for sure.
I wonder if they already know this and explains why there are so many different formats available, perhaps in order to tempt different customers who have different requirements, or perhaps preying upon the hardcore OCD Quo collector who has to have absolutely everything the band puts out and ends up buying 5 different formats of the same album.

I got a refund for the London O2 gig, when it was announced that Rick wouldn't be playing, so there will be no point in purchasing the recording of this concert, in which I didn't want to go to in the first place.

I've just looked on Amazon and the dvd of the gig is no1 in the category music video and concert. The CD is no 26.

And they are no1 & no 2 - bluray/dvd. No3 is Oasis. No.4 Joe Bonamassa - an acoustic concert, Live at Carnegie Hall. So they've still got some fans out there.
