We are all Quo fans, but just where do Quo sit with you? To me they are the ultimate r@ r band. Nothing comes close to them, especially live, ye fuckin LIVE. The greatest band ever to me. But I presume there are Quo fans here who just like them and have them lower down a list of fav bands. So come on, where do Quo sit with you? C

Status Quo have been the staple of my musical life, ever since I was introduced to the band by my sister, when she let me play her Dog album and I was hooked. She took me to see them in 1972 for my 15th birthday and I've never looked back. I couldn't wait for Paper Plane to come out after hearing it on the radio followed by the Piledriver album. I use to listen to the top 30 every week to see if their singles went up the chart and was always happy if they made the top 10. And so it went on, all through the 70s and 80s, listening for the new Quo single, buying Melody Maker and Record Mirror for the next tour and album, standing in endless queues in all weathers out side Hammersmith Odeon to get the latest tour tickets. It's 2015 and I was at the 02 on Sunday and I'm still enjoying the band and the pre concert drinks with people that share my passion. I like many other bands, but Quo and their loyal fans are head and shoulder's above anyone else, so for that, I say thanks.

Love my music but nothing hits the spot quite like Quo can
Have always been my favourite band by a mile.

Quo were the first band I was really in to and there's no band I've seen more than them. They dropped-off the radar for me after the first few years of CQ as I discovered more "serious" bands. Having said that, FF are still and will always be number one for me.

Ever since I heard WYP as an 11 year old, on the radio when it first came out, quickly followed by me finding the mighty Piledriver album, they have been THE band for me, head and shoulders above all the other stuff I like. Much prefer the 70s stuff and the FF gigs but still enjoy CQ live too. Only listen to music in the car or when walking to work and about 80% of the time I listen to Quo. I don't like pop crap at all so skip pretty much all of their late 80s/90s output though.....

Regardless of the enormous amount of different styles of music I like, Quo is and will always be number 1. Simple as that.

First and only group I ever loved but when RAOTW and the rest came out I just gave up { so many disappointing albums from a group that where capable of much better material } , its Ma to BLY for me and nothing else , why they went down a different path still baffles me even today .

I was listening to radio 1 one day, mid seventies, Tony Blackburn i think it was, and a record came on called Caroline. Fuck me what a song !! I knew nothing about music then, but i had to buy it. Off to the record shop and bought the recently released album called Quo Live. (It had Caroline on it). That was it - hooked. Every week i'd buy an album until i had them all. Then when a new album or single came out, straight out to buy it. Then came my first concert at Sheffield City Hall. 1979 . Wow, what a show, what a band !! And I've been going ever since. I've seen plenty of other bands, but none came close to catching that intimacy of a Quo gig. Rock on !!

That is what has lived with us all this time and what made the magic in 13/14 Its Never Too Late for 16.

I've got a large & varied collection of music by a great many artists but Quo in the '70s, especially up to the Live album, are the top of the pile - although there are a few not too far behind.

Started listening to Quo in '72, I was 9 years old. At the time I was interested in playing the drums ................ then I heard (and saw) Rick playing Paper Plane .............. I haven't touched a drum stick since.
I like loads of other bands but Quo have been, are, and always will be No. 1 for me.
Even though there have been different lineups over the years, there is material that I like from all of them.
Having said that, the '70's were absolute magic, the material and gigs they did were second to none. If the term 'rock gods' was ever applicable to any band in history, it was Quo in the '70's.

I've always loved the ff quo, they will always be near the top of my list, Motörhead are my no' 1 but not much ever came close to quo live. I haven't listened to quo records since '84 nor have have I been to their gigs, except for the reunion gigs of course , cos they just don't record the style of music I like , but the proper quo were a top quality heavy rock band , simple
