Probably a lot of truth to this but, what Francis said will go ignored and Rick's missus is not talking correctly, considering her kids get a share of the house, as said in the article Who knows though? If there's still a large mortgage on the house, with the property market the way it is, there may just be a share of next to nothing to go around. As far as I see it, the fans who remember Rick only for his on-stage stuff have got it right.

It is certainly sad if not unsurprising. What I don't understand is why Quo are carrying on without him. When Lemmy died, they announced the same day Motörhead was finished. Quo should have done the same out of respect and common sense. I certainly won't be seeing them again with the various stand ins. It's pathetic. Lemmy was Motorhead, Rick wasn't Quo, he was part of Quo. Exactly. This is Quo...

If Lynsay is to be believed, behind today's reports of a woman left with nothing, it sounds like Ricks last months, weeks and days were a time of depression, tablets and drinking. Describes an incident of falling out of bed which may have caused the shoulder injury. I hate to read this as this is what is suspected. But this is what maddens me, the band would have known how vulnerable Rick was, and the impact of carrying on regardless was no doubt contributing to his well being. Shame on all involved with SQ, they should have been there for him. He was a grown man.

Don't dwell on how it ended. Celebrate the life he shared with us.

I've said this before about Rick, great in Quo but as a bloke?Investing to much in your heroes is bound to lead to 2 things Delusion Disappointment I nearly spat my cornflakes when I read of RP's 10 million quid, you'll be lucky I thought. I feel sad that some board members have elevated Rick to wronged hero when in fact he let a lot of people down.Like you say stick to the music

In a tax fiddle that will have to be repaid out of his estate. Best thing though is to remember him as he was on stage not his roller coaster personal life.

I like Quo music, and that's as far as it goes. I never thought either Parfitt or Rossi were particularly nice people, and their lifestyles were their own business. As I said before, sad especially for two young kids, but no sadder than if anyone else died in the same situation.

Well that would put 1980-1988 Judas Priest off the radar.

Worst offender, Ted Nugent, great musician but an absolute piece of shit as a human being.

Watch the history of the Eagles Doc. Fantastic musicians Henley and Frey but what a sanctimonious, egotistical pair of tossers they both came over as.

It's pretty much like what happened with Steve Clark and Def Leppard... He had his alcohol abuse issues, went to rehab and then continued abusing shortly after... They was trying to record an album and essentially having an alcoholic guitarist around whilst you have a deadline to meet with the record label, all they could do was send him home and hope that would set him straight, but he died. Rick was taken off tour because he was told not to perform any more by doctors cause it could cause further risk.... He just went into a self destructive mode of abusing pills (as the article says), and without anyone around to stop him other than Lyndsay which clearly was no use... he continued and thats what lead up to his fatal end Which is exactly what I feared would happen to him without the band. I have said for years if he was forced off the road he would not be able to cope. Sadly it's come true, yes we can all bash Francis for carrying on but I suspect he's been banging his head against a brick wall with Rick for years. He knew him better than Rick knew himself why else would he say to Lyndsay. "Get out now while you can." I don't know any of them and the same thought flitted across my mind when I heard he'd married again ... not to mention when they got involved in a business. It's a pity for Lyndsay's sake that she wasn't a Quo fan, or she might have been more wary. Even Rick's loving mum said years ago that he never grew up and always found people to look after him. So now we know where the shoulder injury came from ... a lot of people die of beds, my old neighbour was finally taken away to a home after falling out of bed, but she was a lot older than Rick and not a drinker. (I think ... ) It seems one or two people doubt this tale, or elements of it, only the participants know the truth, but it looks to me like the story any of us could have written to a simple algorithm, "this is Rick". Only I am sorry he ended in depression and a painful final illness. He was right, it did take more than death to kill him, else he would not have survived the last heart attack. And she paid off his tax bill ... oh dear oh me ... Derry you are a romantic. Nobody was ever going to save Rick from himself. Given all that, he had rather a good run at 68, but he hasn't half left a mess behind ...
