The folk on Amazon are the same old faces who like everything Quo. Check the reviews for Bula Quo - same old faces.

Does it matter whether it is selling well or otherwise?
Its simply not aimed at long term 70's fans, the majority who compromise this virtual audience and wish that Quo played, and identified themselves with the music they originally became famous for.
AQII is the culmination of a process that has been going on for years and years with an insidious migration/switching of the Quo audience from a lairy rock orientated one to a family friendly, casual and general contemporary music appreciation collective.
The changed audience face is now fully matched by the acoustic stage presence, backing audience, singers and accordion player. Rick "the wild man" was the remaining outlier to this changing profile. Unfortunately his ailing health has proved the catalyst to allow this metamorphosis to be achieved.
Putting aside the usual FF/CQ eras focus, the first embryo metamorphosis as I see it was 1968/9 to 1971. Trippy and technicolour bubblegum/ fiskadelic to boogie rock.
The second closing of life cycle metamorphosis has been occurring between 2014 and 2016. A final reprise celebration of that original boogie rock formula bowing out to pave the way for an inoffensive, if very bland acoustic strum along - one that is not to my taste unfortunately.
The lifecycle has gone full circle and is complete as I see it.
For those who really like AQ II - enjoy it Those who are going to remaining gigs, whether acoustic or electric then enjoy them For those with very opposite belief and taste, my opinion (for what little it is worth) best to accept that what is gone is finally gone and take a perspective of the final metamorphosis by enjoy the tribute acts up and down the country instead who play the "original way" . Very much including John's solo band of course. Maybe a surprise solo project or two may appear in the future that offers some semblance of what was - who knows?
For me - there is nothing else to say or contribute, so its time to bow out as far as the virtual Quo world is concerned. "Quo time" will amount to favourite albums and CD's when the inclination jives.
Ciao - have fun
Catlady, sorry to see you leave, joining a long long list from barejear to quozone throughout the years and more recently, including the meltdown of the official board, who have shared your sentiment. This all probably all stems from RAOTW as even recognised by Rossi in a recent interview.(RAOTW he acknowledges brought the highest correspondence on any matter to Quo on what fans viewed as a massive mistake). As such we have been all extremely loyal, patient or just plain stupid and idiotic to hold out the candle of hope. The warmth and joy from the shared interest and community has taken many knocks and most originate from Rossi's dominance, selfishness, ego and mania. I do think it all is now completely at and end and 'Quo' dead and buried for good. I share your sentiment completely. Sorry mate,I pressed dislike by accident on this sodding iPad. I fully agree 100% with what you say. Superb post and it's sad to see the once most loyal fans of any artist being treated as a millstone around the neck of Francis Rossi.

Anyone remember the Spice Girls selling well? Also Joe Dolce, Nick Berry and Robson & Jerome. All good.

Not sure it'll work though. if ya don't like the Aquostic stuff then get rid of ya CD, download, playlist or however you've listened to it and stick on ya copy of "Hello". Job's a good 'un.

I already have pal. By the way, my mother - 64 and stepfather - 70 (I guess the intended cardigan & slippers target audience) listened to it and said "It's not very good is it?". And they loved AQ1.

Sorry to see you've thrown the towel in catlady but I get it that youd rather pour cold tea over Franciss head now instead of what you did in your recurring dream. One thing I forgot to thank you for was the recipe for Molasses sauce. I've tried it,in fact twice, and really like it over my slow smoked bbq pork ribs. I hope you return to this board one day...maybe after you've had an extra Prosseco eh. Look after yourself. Cheers
