Those who have bought the album, what's your verdict? It has it's moments, with ITAN, LOAI, JSD and ISRYH? as highlights. I don't like ROLD or Dear John and the tempo change in Rockers Rollin seems a bit unnecessary. please keep negative comments polite as i don't want the thread to end up in the "rants and raves" section like my gig review did

It's fkin terrible. It makes the first one almost listenable.
Never mind ROLD, what the hell have they done to HYB? It sounds like a reject Burning Bridges.
What possesed Rossi to re-record the dirge that is LOTHR?
Two songs I can (almost) listen to are Resurrection and Rockers Rollin, but only if you forget about the proper versions.
And don't get me started on the new material.
Rating: Shite/10
No... I didn't buy it but have it through Spotify.

A totally weird experience. Thanks to deepthroat I've now heard most of it on youtube. Weird because its not aimed a Quo fans is it. That was my impression. It was like saying, here's your favourite songs, now we're going to jumble them all up and turn them inside out. And you might recognise them. We don't care if this reflects the original lyric. But this is how musically creatively we can be.
If I wasn't a Quo fan and came across it, these tracks were partly enjoyable because I like the Ry Cooder/slide guitar sound plus a bit of country.
Is Some one rocking your heart? (but cut the strings for my taste) And majority of the Rick nos as they were better put together. Ressurrection, Bellavista Man, Rockers' Rollin'
And surprisingly Backwater but without the girls.
Agree that other 2 new ones are better suited to FR solo album.
As for the rest, I either prefer the originals or never liked the track in the first place.
And as for ROLD - that feels like an insult to the old Quo army.

Top work Sir!.

I'd mentally blocked the indignity of that detritus.

I stopped posting in this group after the last acoustic shite deciding to keep my thoughts to myself knowing that my opinion was only going to get me banned or into some old quo new quo argument that none of us ff fans can seem to win. But things have changed and I need to voice my opinion here. Got an email from Spotify yesterday saying the new album was out and that I could listen to it ... had to go for a drive so I thought to myself, maybe just maybe there will be one track that is ok. Well F me wasn't I wrong ... what a complete waste of my life, in fact it made me angry... Let's talk backwater, of all the songs they could have totally destroyed why the one that Alan Lancaster prided himself on I have nothing against Rick but for F sake why didn't they leave that one alone. Hold you back lol was that a new Morris dancing track ? I cannot be arsed to talk about the rest as they all pissed me off lol. One more thing I'd like to add.... and quo need to think about this one. Imagine if they updated the music video to suit the new dear John Track lol Utter shite

I just can't bring myself to listen to it. Same as........I will not put myself through it, even for free. I'm trying to keep a low profile at work as I get more than my fair share of stick for being a Quo fan. I have tried educating them with the 70's albums to no avail.......but if they get a whiff of this stuff then I'm getting it big time.

I will admit to buying the first Aquostic album and I did like few of the tracks. Out of curiosity, I went to the Roundhouse to see Aquostic live and yeah it was okay and I said at the time, if they did a Aquostic tour I wouldn't go, but when the Royal Albert Hall concert was announced, I changed my mind when browsing to see what tickets were available, I was offered row 7 centre stage, so I was of to see my second Aquostic concert. The performance was more relaxed and more polished then the Roundhouse gig, but a reality check hit me in the face when the elderly couple sitting next to me, were dressed for the theatre, he in a suit and his wife in an evening dress enjoying a box of chocolates!!! This was far removed from as a teenager in the 70s I was jumping up and down at the Hammersmith Odeon in a hot, sweaty, eardrum busting environment listening to the likes of, Don't Waste My Time, Roll Over Lay Down and the 20+ minutes 4500 Times. From now on I'm looking forward to seeing John Coghlan's Quo again, where for an 1½ I can revisit the 70s

I'm glad I only heard a snippet of one track (that's a fact)...and that was enough...don't need to hear the rest at all, especially not after reading the comments here from other FF fans... unbelievable, I thought things couldn't get any worse...

Maybe it's the drugs and morphine but I actually think it's ok. Will I listen to it a lot, definitely not. They've attempted some arrangements some work some don't. I will give them some credit for trying.
Now before anyone is abusive, I'm not well so fuck off.

I'd rather smear my bawbag with antelope blood then dangle it in front of the jaws of a Honey Badger, while shouting "BITE ME, YA HAIRY WEE SHITE!", before I'd listen to this utter garbage. It's like when you look at a bad road accident. You know you shouldn't but curiosity gets the better. Then you regret it.
