www.facebook.com/StatusQuoOfficial/?hc_ref=PAGES_TIMELINE&fref=nfOh dear...... very sad for him, it has obviously been a tough decision to make. I still think the winter tour should have been postponed but maybe the bad news is that he may never play with Quo again.... Still... those that fight then run away, live to fight another day.... hopefully

In what way? Personally I think they have suspected it might come to this but hoped he would recover enough to do the rest of the tour. That is why there has not been anything definite posted in a while... I think they were leaving it to the last minute to decide. Makes me a bit uncomfortable though looking at that album cover. A tad tasteless and insensitive methinks

Whatever's going on in the Quo camp doesn't really matter. I just hope Rick makes a complete recovery & is able to continue to lead a full life, with or without Quo.

To this end, Rick may well have performed his last show with Quo, but no final decision will be made until next year. No final decision till next year... what absolute bollocks, it's already been made but they know the backlash they will get if they say Quo will continue without Rick for their remainder of time.

At this stage it is what it is, I would've been more surprised if they announced Rick was doing the tour, though it could've been handled better, anyhow I hope DQ is having a good nights sleep, he won't have another one for weeks.!! Good Luck Rick Parfitt

So what was the delay about? "He may have done his last show with Quo....Oh but, he's recording a solo album" Nah sorry, that statement is worded badly to me.... Regardless, good to hear Rick is on the mend and is looking after number 1. I'll be forever grateful for the memories, the music and gigs. A musical icon and musical hero in my life. Best rhythm guitarist I've ever seen. It's been special.

Well you may be right but I don't think Rick would want it to be a definite no. Ok maybe the touring days are over for him and they will be for Francis too after December, but there are still those illusive 'specials' to hope for Anyway, as long as Rick can recover enough to enjoy life with his family that is the main thing. That's a wonderful pic you posted! Thanks Rick for rockin on the reunion tours, you made them so special and I am so grateful we got to see that again. Take care xxx

Oh dear, we knew it was serious but I didn't imagine it was so serious that he actually died for for a while. He was very lucky to have received prompt medical attention. Just hope he listens to the doctors, everything else is secondary.

They knew from the start and yet, they continued to use his face on posters to shift tickets for the gigs. I also notice they aren't offering any refunds to those who want their money back, like AC/DC did. I know it's not the most tasteful to thing to talk about but, fuck it! I spent 160 quid on tickets to see Rick. Now I'm not so I want my money back

Firstly All the best to Rick, clearly a more serious matter than what we knew about.
But, management have been stringing people along to this tour.
That's me done with all things Quo, would be tempted to even come off this board to erase the band from my life.
Interestingly I spoke to the consumer council just yesterday and they advised me to write to ticket master stating that I want a refund, and also to write the same letter to the credit card company, stating that I have not been provided with the goods that I had purchased and therefore to refund me the money, I will be doing this over the weekend.
Truly sorry for Rick and his well being. But quo management and Rossi have a lot to answer for in terms of carrying on this tour without him.

And yes they should offer refunds. Maybe they will, the announcement has only just been made so it's early days yet.

Do you really think that Simon Porter and Francis "I love money" Rossi is going to offer a refund?! No chance What they've done here is sly and taking the fans for absolute fools. That statement is weird as fuck. Between that, RPJ's tweet, the row in the hospital, the comments in FTMO....There are holes all over this. Like I said, I smell a rat
