I was just getting in to music in the early 70s where I was playing T. Rex, Sweet and other glam rock artists records, when my ears pricked up from an album my eldest sister was playing in her bedroom. When she used to go out on Friday/Saturday nights I would go into her bedroom and play this album.....The album Dog Of Two Head.

I won't bore with my often repeated story of how I got into Quo - but the last studio album out had been OTL.
However, it was hearing the Hello album first of all that had grabbed my attention - before I had even heard of the delights of OTL and others.

Again and again was the song that hooked me. So bought IYCSTH on the strength of that.
After that i worked my way backwards and found the stuff just got better and better. ☺

Just Supposin'.
I was 10 years old and bought Lies/Don't Drive My Car with some pocket money.
I was dipping my toe into the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, but I just decided to stick with Quo!

Exactly the same! Lies was the first single I bought by anyone. But I remember seeing WYP on TOTP and really liking it. I remember that vividly as "the bucket of water song" was also shown, and that was the only reason I was watching! Tiswas also got me into Motorhead, Maiden and Saxon. Respect!

Went back to the UK in autumn '74 after living in Kenya for nearly 4 years - so had missed out on DOTH, Piledriver and Hello - was probably too young to appreciate them anyway. Down Down was on the radio and TV prior to Christmas '74 but OTL had yet to be released - that was the first Quo album I bought in 75/76. So Quo was the last album out when I first got interested in the band.

Very good poll. Will be very interesting to see the results.
Just supposin' was the song that got my attention first. Loved the song but also whole album. A friend of mine had this album plus Piledriver. Loved both albums even despite the big difference in style.

Good and interesting poll! The first album I bought was OTL, but that was early spring -76 so I'm quite sure that BFY also had been released by then.

They first really registered with me around the time of Hello. I didn't like POMM at all and didn't pay much attention following that. Then family matters intervened after Hello and I reconnected about the time of WYW since when it was intermittent until I started going to gigs with QPQ.

Then family matters intervened after Hello and I reconnected about the time of WYW since when it was intermittent until I started going to gigs with QPQ. I first heard that when it came out as a single and I thought it was great. Perfect for the psychedelic era, but I guess it doesn't mean I was into them at the time so I'll stick with OTL. I never heard any other songs by them after POMM right up to 1975 when I first saw them. I think I am very fortunate to not have heard any songs from the set-list prior to that gig.

IYCSTH. I got that one and RAOTW on a casette from someone in school...I was sold...little was I to know at that moment that they had an even way better back catalogue and that three , for me fantastic albums that also overclassed both RAOTW and IYCSTH (WYW, JS and NTL) would follow. I got the whole back catalogue before RAOTW within weeks after I hear those two two casettes !
