Have to say I've listened to Gone Thru The Slips a good number of times since his thread was started. Can't stand Doing It All For You and Rick's voice definitely doesn't suit it. I recently discovered Gone Thru The Slips myself. I couldn't stand it when I first heard it so I never really gave it a chance. Dismissed it as bland synth-driven nonsense almost immediately when I was younger. But I have to hold my hand up and say I was riding that train to the land of bollox It's pretty good and I rather like it now. Heart On Hold is one of those oddities that they try now and again. Lover Of The Human Race was another. Not keen on the former and the latter is much improved on Aquostic II.

To many soft country songs. Feels like Francis brought his solo material to fill out the gaps of the album that could easily have been reduced to an EP or even a maxi single. There are a couple of decent tracks on the album though and then there is The Power of Rock. That might be their best post Live Aid song. Great melody and alot of energy. It has different parts sung by both Francis and Rick, two really great guitar solos and a piano solo. Besides the country songs I actually like the production on this album. I prefer it (the production) to the previous two (or even three albums).
