I am looking forward to the album, sounds like it will be very enjoyable. The real test for it will be whether it becomes one I go back to in time. Since John left, it's only HT and ISOTFC I listen to sometimes, with all the others having a song or three I like. Hope it can be our album of the month in a years time! What does sadden me is that the bands visual identity is no longer recognisable to me as SQ. The sound is there. Onstage they pass for the same band that's been there since 1986, offstage I simply don't see SQ at all. Visual impact was a big part of classic Quo. And it's not just an age thing. The Stones still very much look like the Stones, on and off stage. Are you suggesting the return of the vests ? Could be quite messy with old men ??😮😱

Sadly there comes a time when you realise something you wore in 1975 might not look quite so good on you nearly 45 years later, that's assuming you can still get into it and more importantly fasten it without your lips turning blue and being unable to sit down.

I disagree Tony, I reckon Francis with his slight frame can still rock the denim blue with vest instead of the bank clerk white shirt and black trousers. That look was very ‘Quo’. The band would do well with some colour in their stage gear instead of the bland black/white. I wonder why they do it.

AmericanQuo may have just heard the samples, and decided he didn’t like it. I heard the same ones most likely and it was enough to make up my mind about it. Why do you feel the need to come on here and personally insult someone from behind the safety of your keyboard? Not particularly clever and no need for that is there? Cheers I do apologise for the personnel insult, I was drunk when I wrote that reply and it was totally uncalled for, I'm sorry. But it is clear that Americanquo is basing his opinion on the line up rather than the material, that's clear from his comment He totally is and he's not the only one on here either.

A little while back Francis wore a maroon waistcoat while performing the Aquostic gigs and he looked very cool imo. Amazing how a colour can lift appearance. The bands black/white looks like they just walked out of their jobs at a bank.

There's probably some overpaid "expert" stylist in the background giving useless advice on image. It's not so much the clothes, the overall look is probs more to do with who they are. Rick's replacement and the drummer are not known faces, and of course there's no Rick. When I look at the reunion offstage promo stuff, that was recognisably SQ, clothes didn't matter Mick and Keith together are the public face of the Stones, with Quo it was Rick and Francis. Quos powerful image is gone, sadly nothing can be done about it now whatever they wear. Maybe that's why they don't bother. To me though they are no longer recognisably Quo to look at But yes I do struggle with Francis at times. The suit is one thing and can be understood for reasons others say here But it would have been good business to play his famous tele or replica, wear blue jeans onstage and to have kept his trademark ponytail. Seems he will do anything, even strip naked, for good business, but cares not for good business when it's anything to do with the bands image

Just a wee warning regarding the personal attacks in this thread. Posts deleted.
Come on guys, no need for it no matter how extreme the views on the album are.

So what if it’s about the line up rather than the material? The line up since 86 have probably written one albums worth in total of material that reflects their glorious past in my opinion. Losing the third voice live was detrimental to the band, and the band played so fast the gig was over before you’d finish your beer . Roll on 2013/14 and Quo was back as it should be. But I guess that’s wasted on you Cheers

I don’t expect you to give post 1986 much recognition when you can’t see past AL.
