I used to listen to Annie Nightingale on a Sunday evening at 7 after the the top 20 chart show and she would always start her show by saying hi, just before the vocal started on the first record. RIP Annie.

....Where's the time gone and where has my hair gone??? A luxurious mane all down your back. None on your head, just down your back. There are women in Southend that fit that description!!

got my eye on this one now - not coming into EU from UK so no stupid VAT & Customs charges, which are a complete pain in the arse! 🤬
Nice shirt for the 50th anniversary of the album

I enjoyed that, but I wasn't to keen on the way it started, but what a great ending and as Mortified stated, I'm also going to play it again.

The nearest I got to hearing it live was by, John Coghlans Quo and they did a good job of it. As R007 mentioned, after the first 2 tracks of Piledriver, they certainly put the breaks on for the last 2.

To say Rick put a 100% into this track live is an understatement, the rhythm guitar work on this was outstanding.

If you bumped into FR in Tesco and had a chat would he charge you on the spot or would he ask for your billing details? Meet & Greet Francis Rossi in Tesco's...Could be a winner

From what I remember, every Quo gig I went to from 1974-1984 at Hammersmith Odeon was frantic and I can't remember ever being disappointed.

According to Setlist.fm they played Mystery Song at this show as part of the encore! Can anyone confirm that? It would be incredible to hear that live from that time if a tape exists of the full show post Roadhouse. Presumably this outing would have been a one off as part of its release (presumably the single was released around this time)? I can confirm that Mystery Song was not played at Cardiff, nor was Ring of a Change. Pretty certain Ring of a Change was played at the first Hammersmith show on the BFY tour. Although the grey matter does play tricks. I was at Hammersmith also, a day before my 19th Birthday, but I can't remember Ring of Change being played either.

The single Mystery Song had just entered the UK Top 30, but it wasn't played live.
