Yes, bittersweet memories Viv. Thanks for sharing though. In my heart, I knew that my 2nd gig of two that March at Hammersmith was the last time I would see them play live. I cried spontaneously, and that surprised me and then I realised why. For me my Quo journey was always Hammersmith Odeon, so that was why I didn't want to go Dublin. I had to say goodbye to them there. Glad you went though. Hammersmith Odeon was my favourite place to see the band and I was never disappointed with the atmosphere. My 3rd Quo gig and my first at the odeon, (I know it's had different name changes throughout the years, but it has always been the Hammersmith Odeon to me) in December 1974, so seeing the same band play at the same venue 40 years later, was a perfect ending.

T. Rex had some excellent B sides in the early 70s.

For me, there’s been a few B sides that have been okay, but my favourites were 'Juniors Wailing' from the live '75 ep and as I've mentioned before, 'Lonely Night' which was played more times on the juke boxes in the pubs in Southend then the A side 'Break The Rules' just under 50 years ago!!!

Me and a mate drove down from York in his old red Cortina Estate and drove back straight after. We were just near the mixing desk and a bloke appeared with a decibel meter and it said 108! Afterward we saw Francis at the stage door as he got into the car and he commented how loud it was so I told him it was 108! He also thought we were daft driving all that way. Frightening that 30 years has gone so fast 108 decibels must of been Loud for Charlie's big ears!!!!

I was there with a view mates and my sister with a few of her friends also had a box and if I remember rightly, I think they had waitress service for their drinks!!! I think you're right, but I'm not sure if I actually paid for it!! Was the gig for fan club members only or something? No, as I wasn't a fan club member.

I was there, was it really 30 years ago?! I seen to remember What You're Proposing being really powerful and Prince Charles staying right until the end of the encore. Me, my gf and a mate somehow managed to be in a box to the right-hand side of the stage. I'm not sure how / why because I'm sure I wouldn't have booked a box. We were so close to the stage that Francis kept running over to us and chatting. It was a great night and the band were really on form. I was there with a view mates and my sister with a few of her friends also had a box and if I remember rightly, I think they had waitress service for their drinks!!!

My favourite track from the album and as I've said before, it should of been the 3rd single from Whatever You Want.

My elder sister bought the Dog album in 1971, when she and her boyfriend at the time, went to watch the band in the pubs around Essex, including the Wake Arms pub near Epping. I was in to T.Rex at the time, Bolan Boogie and Electric Warrior being the albums I was playing. My ears did prick up when I heard the boogie shuffle when my sister played the dog album and after seeing the band play at the Harlow Playhouse in early 72, the rest, as they say is history. I have a German double compilation album. I think it was call Pop Chronik on the Pye label, I did get Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon on cassette the same time I bought the Hello album in late '73.

I wasn't to keen on it, I would of rather had Lonely Night on the album and Fine, Fine, Fine, as the B side to the, Break The Rules single.

Let's hope, he researchers the back catalogue and then realises what he has missed over the years, being on the wrong side of the pond.

I can't help thinking a mash up of Junior's Wailing & Spinning Wheel Blues wouldn't be too difficult. I also find that for some reason Somethin' 'Bout You, Baby puts me in mind of Chas & Dave's Rabbit. Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again by the Angels has some similarities to Quo's Lonely Night, imo - maybe I'm the only one who'd think that No, I can't hear any similarities whatsoever between 'Lonely Night' and 'Am I Ever Goona See Your Face Again?'
