My favourite track from the album and as I've said before, it should of been the 3rd single from Whatever You Want.

My elder sister bought the Dog album in 1971, when she and her boyfriend at the time, went to watch the band in the pubs around Essex, including the Wake Arms pub near Epping. I was in to T.Rex at the time, Bolan Boogie and Electric Warrior being the albums I was playing. My ears did prick up when I heard the boogie shuffle when my sister played the dog album and after seeing the band play at the Harlow Playhouse in early 72, the rest, as they say is history. I have a German double compilation album. I think it was call Pop Chronik on the Pye label, I did get Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon on cassette the same time I bought the Hello album in late '73.

I wasn't to keen on it, I would of rather had Lonely Night on the album and Fine, Fine, Fine, as the B side to the, Break The Rules single.

Let's hope, he researchers the back catalogue and then realises what he has missed over the years, being on the wrong side of the pond.

I can't help thinking a mash up of Junior's Wailing & Spinning Wheel Blues wouldn't be too difficult. I also find that for some reason Somethin' 'Bout You, Baby puts me in mind of Chas & Dave's Rabbit. Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again by the Angels has some similarities to Quo's Lonely Night, imo - maybe I'm the only one who'd think that No, I can't hear any similarities whatsoever between 'Lonely Night' and 'Am I Ever Goona See Your Face Again?'

I read somewhere that she had appeared in a low grade porn film. "The Frantic Four" ride again. It was a 'Blue (movie ) For You'.

I thought that was Whatever You Want, but Dr Feelgood beat them to it Perhaps that's the case, it was a long time ago. Of course, good old Dr Feelgood - perhaps they got wind of the idea down at the Kursall There's an advert in the Quo '79 programme showing the band rehearsing for the 'As It Happens' album.

Out of a the list's I've seen, Mortified is the one I like the most, probably 'like' is the wrong word to use....an album I wouldn't play, but saying that,I would have to change Mountain Lady with Another Shipwreck.

Alan's Who Asked You, would of made a good 3rd choice single from the Whatever You Want album as it was completely different to Living On An Island.

It was a shame that Roll Over Lay Down wasn't the live version that entered the chart. I did a cassette tape recording of '12 Gold Bars' with the album versions of Caroline, Down Down, Mystery Song and Living On An Island

I wanted to like this, but to me, there was something missing and as Mortified mentioned, looking back on it, it wasn't that bad, but at the time, I was a bit disappointed. Maybe a taster release from the forthcoming live album might of been a good idea, but as they had already released a live ep, mid '75 I suppose a 1 off new studio track was the only option.
