I get my Quo fix with John Coghlans Quo these days with his 70s set which changes, all for a modest £15 in small intimate venues. As for Dr Feelgood, no original members, but I often go and see the Wilko Johnson Band with the brilliant bassist Norman Watt-Roy.

Am looking forward to Saturday night, JC's Quo are playing on my turf, The Plug in Sheffield. Should be a good one, meeting up with a couple of old mates from theFF days haven't seen for years. It will be nice to hear again, solos played like they should be..

I think the brilliant bass player Norman Watt-Roy might say "Who?"..... I've amended the mistake... doh

I heard he had a minor heart attack this year and I have not seen any updates on his current health.

Hi All, I think that there is no problem with a single member of an original band playing on but at least make that point to those who are either buying the merch and attending the gigs or else you run the risk of being barracked for conning those fans that have followed the band for years.
As for Quo well I have already said out of respect to RP (RIP ) FR should have renamed the band FR's Quo especially as he is the only original member unless you count Andy but then you get in the realms of counting original CQ members etc.etc. so keep it simple FR.
Geoff.

Had Rick parfitt not died last year?
Would the bad feeling toward Rossi exist.
Hypothetical question I know.
But in my eyes it's getting way over the top.

But for me, its the total lack of respect for Rick's memory at gigs and no mention of a memorial beyond these 2 tracks. He also lost my respect for the insults to fans who enjoyed the reunion gigs. I feel very sad rather than angry.

I have loved the different lineups up until 2012... Then the reunion came, and boy did I fall in love again...... Then Loafer man spoketh... and the farce became painful. So... My opinion is that Loafer Man and management has brought the animosity upon themselves, via the countless times that the words has fallen out of the insecure's little bread fork.. without any connection between mouth and brain... Geeee... It could have been so different. But this way seems to be OK with a lot of people, so I must be in the wrong, right? If they changed the name now, they would sink into oblivion.... Quo is a name that many recognize, Loafer Man Band? Nope.... Couldn’t agree more. I’ve previously defended CQ and indeed enjoyed a lot of the music. It it was a complete privilege however to go to Hammersmith in both 13 and 14 and witness the magic on stage before me. I still enjoy a lot of CQ stuff and I thought the last real offering “QPQ” was an excellent album. I am now of the opinion that the latest lineup is as far removed from the original as it can be. Thank gawd I went to those Hammy gigs. Special, really special memories..

The animosity isn't suddenly going to vanish into thin air if the name is changed, such is human nature. We can't just turn off our emotions. They will linger, and being communal as the Quo Army are, will continue to burn for as long as we have things like these forums to indulge our feelings. It's a nice and honourable theory that a name change will make it ok, but i don't think it'll make a big difference. This all runs too deep, the damage is done. I know we as humans don't want to be burdened by negative feelings, but i honestly think we're kidding ourselves if we think a name change will make it ok.
Or have i misunderstood the question?
Would *a* name change *be* ok? Is that it? In which case, yeah....the name *should* be changed out of respect, but it'll never happen!

His continued put downs of the classic Quo line up and lack of respect to those fans who put him where he is today completely justify the feelings towards him. You don’t hear Alan or JC standing there and saying this kind of stuff, they fully appreciate the fans and the feelings towards them. I still believe personally that Rossi was taken aback by the emotion from fans during the reunion tours and the fact that his line up have never once come close to that.He just can’t admit it . Diminishing returns prove FRQ are on the slide. He’s dug his own hole and I Can’t ever see him climbing out of in the eyes of a lot of the fan base Cheers

I had a refund last year when it was announced Rick couldn't tour so I thought they would remember that. I will go.....but I can't say I'm looking forward to it.
