Rick needs to get Alan involved, because (turn away Rick, sorry) Rick's songwriting output since the 80s hasn't been world-shaking, and to have a band, you need good songs. Some of his best post-80s stuff has been written with Rhino. They are much more mates now than Rick and Francis have been since ... well, possibly 1969 or whenever it was that Rick got upset because Francis was friendly with Bob. PLC already has a bass player, and two singers, but they need a lead guitarist. Perhaps Rhino ... ? I know, he can't play lead. But that is the point ... back in the day, Rossi said he couldn't play lead ... that was back when he was good ... (It's morning.) Back in the day I reckon Alan and Rick wrote most of Quos best album....QUO. The magic must be in them surely. Odd that they only wrote 9 songs together, I think, 4 of them from '72/'73 & 5 of them dominate that album in '74 - then ... nothing, at all, ever.

That could be why they stopped writing together.

I've just flipped through the writing credits via the Quo site. BFY - 2 credits with Francis JS - 1 credit with Francis/Andy NTL - 1 credit with Andy. There are of course other Alan tracks but if co-written, not with one of the core band members.

With Alan and Bob? Only spot Rick High Flyer It's not on the Quo website under the album listings. That's been wrong for years. Cause they used the tracklist from the JS/WYW combined Cd. The Wild Ones is also missing of JS on the Quo website.
