If PLC hadn't been suggested by Francis then it would have made a good name. As it is, they should try to avoid giving him any credit whatsoever.
Putting Quo in a name would cheapen it and reduce it to Porter mentality marketing.
Some suggestions:
Derv Rollplay raj or The Raj

Considering the age and health problems of two of the three possibly Rockers Totterin' would be better?

I think Quo PLC is a great name and, in this day of music marketing and branding, there is quite a bit of mileage in it. Plus it is very literal.
Go for it I say!
That said, whether the whole thing comes to fruition or not is another matter. I hope it does....

I don't mind it. If they can get away with using Status Quo PLC then it's all good. Status quo plc will do me too...if they get off with this, and explain it's 3 of 4...people .at question who is the actual quo band on tour

If it does happen I have no problem with Quo plc or Status Quo plc, works fine to me.
I do think the lead guitar spot is an interesting one though, cos Quo plc "featuring a name" would be pretty huge news in the rock world wouldn't it? I will leave you fill the spot with whoever.
If it wasn't a name, no disrespect to any of the trib guys for example, but I'd approach a young lad called Aaron Keylock who I've been lucky to see live twice in the last couple of months, once with Joanne Shaw Taylor at Shrewsbury, then at the Bilston Robin a couple of weeks ago.
About 17 years old, looks like an early 70's Francis Rossi and plays with a nod towards Rory Gallagher. A blues rock star of the future maybe.

The Anal Penetrators would be a daring departure.

The old men of boogie paired with some young blood.

I'd prefer Rossi there, but he has obviously made his position clear.
