What about LPC? Front cover of album could be;
A real, indie, non-commercial sort of vibe.

What about CLP? It's not only alphabetical order but also reflects the chronological order of departure from the band!

Alan should take Francis to court over the name. Errr... hasn't that been done already? And Rossi/Parfitt won?

Whatever it is, it's going to look like a trib band if it says Quo or other Quo pun (I like Status Que? myself ) and won't be noticed if it doesn't. "Formerly of Status Quo" will have to be on it in big letters somewhere. (I heard by chance that Martin Turner ex of Wishbone Ash got into a barney with another former band member who had "registered" (no idea what that meant, possibly trademarked) the old name, and now he can only bill himself as Ex-Wishbone Ash. That would do me.) Also, if they don't play Burnin Bridges and ITAN, the public isn't going to be very interested. This does not matter to us, but may matter to them. No I am not recommending that is what they should do ... daft idea!

The name has to be better than PLC ffs. Ideas? Has to be one that current/'ol time Quo fans will excite to get off the couch and go see. 'Rick Parfitt Band'. 'Quo'. Ideas? Cue for a song there.. "Is there a better name in mind or just another name?" Hmmm... has a Ring of a Change to it!

Rick needs to get Alan involved, because (turn away Rick, sorry) Rick's songwriting output since the 80s hasn't been world-shaking, and to have a band, you need good songs. Some of his best post-80s stuff has been written with Rhino. They are much more mates now than Rick and Francis have been since ... well, possibly 1969 or whenever it was that Rick got upset because Francis was friendly with Bob. PLC already has a bass player, and two singers, but they need a lead guitarist. Perhaps Rhino ... ? I know, he can't play lead. But that is the point ... back in the day, Rossi said he couldn't play lead ... that was back when he was good ...
(It's morning.)

Alan should take Francis to court over the name. Errr... hasn't that been done already? And Rossi/Parfitt won? Rossi won. Because the record company said they would only accept fulfillment of the contract if Francis was involved. Rick was very clear that he would play with Francis or Alan, and Francis, in effect, got the band. I don't think he even asked for it - he just got it. He had the frontman face and name, something they could sell. Funny, that, seeing as in the 60s whichever manager was in charge at the time (sorry, can't remember the details) got Rick in to get a "better" singer. There was a "reunion" at the Marquee around this time ... Rick and Alan and I am fairly sure Bob. But - weird - I cannot remember if Spud was involved, or who was drumming. Does anyone else here remember that night? Spud was certainly around and active at the time, as I saw Diesel a couple of times. (I guess I was concentrating on Al, as I had a feeling he was in deep sh*t now and it would be a while before we saw him again. I had no idea how long ... )
