"Oh give it a rest about Rick not being there! FFS, get over it"! "Tough if Rick is there or not. It's still Status Quo"
These two comments, basically repeated over and over, by a number of individuals, on Rossi's FB page....
People ask why I get angry and a bee in my bonnet etc...It's basically because of comments and "opinions" like this really...People trying to convince themselves about something that doesn't even exist tbh...
It's like people who go to these gigs and buy these records are kids, who believe in Santa While the rest of us, the fans of the real Status Quo, are like the grown ups, who get a chuckle out of their innocence

That's pretty alarming. But, shoe on the other foot, don't you think that there are also people who are sick of reading all the abuse aimed at Rossi? Both sides are as bad as the other! Everyone is entitled to voice their opinions, hell, sometimes it's great if you get a good debate going, as long as it doesn't spiral into personal attacks, which is quite frequent around Quo. We're all passionate about the band, whether it be the FF, CQ, 80's etc. People will have their favourite era's, albums, songs, members. But no two people are the same, as clearly shown in every single post on this and any other Quo related website. For every ""Oh give it a rest about Rick not being there! FFS, get over it" theres always a "It's not Quo!". Just because people still attend the gigs and enjoy them, doesn't make them kids. It just means they enjoy a Status Quo concert, which they're allowed to do. Doesn't make them any less of a person. In the same way that you don't enjoy the current situation, it doesn't make you better or worse than anyone who still enjoys it. We all have our own personal tastes, music is a personal thing, but the reason we come to these sites is because we all share an interest in Status Quo, some people care who is playing the music, others don't, some like Ain't Complainin', some like Don't Stop, some like Quo, some like Picturesque Matchstickable Messages and some like pretty much everything across the board. But that doesn't make them stupid or have rose tinted glasses or that Quo can do no wrong. It's all down to taste.

But that doesn't make them stupid or have rose tinted glasses or that Quo can do no wrong. It's all down to taste. 1.It's not Status Quo.
2.The abuse Rossi gets is justified.
3.Don't try and twist my words and say it's alarming that I get angry over people having a different opinion than me. I get annoyed at people having a ridiculous opinion that they believe to be perfectly sane....For example, "It's still the same band from the 70s" or "Trump will be an amazing president"
4. It does make them rose tinted and part of the "Quo can do no wrong brigade" Look on FB. It's like a bunch of One Direction teenage fans on there. Better yet, have a look at one of the forums and the "reviews" people give. "We went down for a mildly delicious breakfast at 9am to start our Quo day" Fuck off and get to the part where you talk about the show ffs
And you can dress it up as much as you want about it all being about "taste" but, there comes to a point where it stops being about taste and you actually start to realise that things are piss poor. There is no way that anybody can tell me, to my face and looking into my eyes, that Bula Quo,the acoustic crap and Andy and Edwards singing songs on this tour are in any way good and should be accepted. Those two are absolutely appalling singers and if anyone ever told me that all that was good, I know for a fact that they are either lying, have been sucked in by some marketing stunt or that they are too afraid to let go of their youth and something that meant something to them. People actually bought and wore t shirts of two OAP's, stripped naked, holding guitars. Where does taste come into that?
I don't recall ever telling anyone Wimbledon play a shit brand of football and them turning to me and saying "Ah it's all about taste" No, if it's shit, it is shit! There are no two ways to dress it up.
It's not Status Quo! Just like AC/DC were not stupid enough to try and bullshit their fans when Axl stepped in for Beano. Everything, except the reunions, since the "TesQuo" stunt on that morning show has been ridiculous to the max. Then again, we had enough warning signs since 2004 so I shouldn't be surprised
Status Quo don't exist! They split, reformed, then split again. As much as I have loved 90% of the music and gigs between 1986 and 2010, that band was not Status Quo. Sure, they made a good attempt at it for a while but, it wasn't Quo!

Whether taste is right or wrong is in the eye of the beholder only. That's just what people with no taste say! That's your opinion. I don't think anyone has the right to judge someone for their taste. It may not be my taste or other's taste. But I can garantuee you this: if anyone judges my taste as wrong I just think one thing only and that is that they can feck off with their conclusion lol. Yes, I don't like what Quo is doing one bit, I personally don't even think this band has anything to do with Status Quo. But I leave everyone else free to form their own opinion and don't judge them on it, simple as that !

I make no claims as regards having any taste whatsoever. As regards Quo, they had already evolved from the classic FF era by the time John left but, arguably, we've only had facsimiles of Quo since John's departure. Albeit a very good one, live at least, when Pete was there. The post Live Aid "Quo" were just no longer Quo enough for me, but for many others they were & subsequent line-ups seem to have had reasonable support. For some all was well so long as Rick was there, for some it still is sufficiently "Quo" for their liking. Is that a matter of taste, or :- ? It's all a matter of personal opinion. I suppose.

Regardless of taste , this band that uses the name STATUS QUO couldn't entertain a crowd without the FF songs .

Yes I'm happy for people to dislike much of the music I like. It's extreme music it's not meant for everyone. Some things are beyond taste. Such as Rhinos singing live compared to Ricks. Andys singing compared to Ricks.

I think it must be taste for those who like the later sound and got into the band then. For those fans, the earlier sound is different and therefore to their ears, not Status Quo.
