What went wrong? Breakfast not delicious, no parking? You might want to read a review by the rockdoctor, it's a brilliant tour. Plenty of parking and breakfast was great thanks, the lack of parfitt had put doubts in my mind and to be honest his replacement is pretty good. The moment rhino started singing ended it all for me. I am a status quo fan and that was the Francis Rossi band playing status quo songs last night. Putting it bluntly it was fucking terrible and the last time I will ever see it

I'd rather see a tribute band from now on after that pants, I did see rockdoctors review but that band was not status quo.

The more I think about the band now being the FRband, it makes sense for another reason. When I saw the other FRband on the solo tour in 2010, I was surprised how like Quo it sounded. I'd had this fantasy that he'd play quite different songs. But as he's always said, I am Quo (or at least he's one of them) and that is his sound. So yes, its now the FRband playing SQuo songs.

The concert I saw in Dublin recently was excellent even given reservations about the legitimacy of trading under the famous band name with now only Rossi remaining.
However, 2016 has shown us our musical heroes will not be here forever. The time is approaching quickly when these songs will never be performed again on these stages. As much as I feel with Rick gone it really is the FR band, I would rather see these songs performed than not. I love Status Quos catalogue and seeing Francis perform them in Dublin was a great experience. Its not Quo, but it is better than not being able to witness them at all. In year or two that chance may be gone.

Don't worry, the songs will be performed in years to come. If Francis (and Andy) decide to call it a day, I do believe they will look for replacements. There will be 1 long-standing member of the Failing Five left, so the show will go on.

Sweden one more time, oh my fucking god yes!! I seen Quo about 40+ times, and efter the two nights at Hammersmith 2013 I said that was my last gigs. But changed my mind and saw them at Liseberg last year and I must admit that gig was great and Im glad I went. But this time......naaa, it feels wrong, I actually was holding on to a ticket for Golden Circle in Partille yesterday but I let it go, I really cant se myself going to this show. It is good for Rossi the tour seems to be a succes but for me its just not the real deal anymore. BR Michael

BR Michael I understand where you're at, and I agree with the liseberg gig, that was absolutely awesome. I could rant on about how one member doesn't do a band and all that, but both you and I know that doesn't apply to Quo. And that goes both ways for Francis and Rick. But the way I see it, if this would have been a Francis Rossi solo tour with the same band members - I would go fanatic and say it's Quo without Parfitt and look positive on it, rather than the negative point of view they're getting now. I'm really looking forward to see Francis again together with the lads for one more time! He's not getting any younger..

If this was annonced as a FR solo tour in the same way as his previus I would go. The sad thing is thar FR has been my number 1 hero since mid 70's, unfortunally many things he said and done the past 4-5 years has changed my view of him. I think it was Ricks ex wife Patty who described him as "the sly fox" in her book many years ago, I am sorry to say I think she was right in many ways. But who whows, never say never as I might change my mind and go to Partille after all when time comes.......

After Parfitt's departure from the current tour, I reclaimed my money back for last Sunday's London 02 gig. But I'm looking forward to seeing John Coghlan's Quo in Putney on the 30th Dec playing a set list that takes me back on a musical journey I regularly had in the 70s.

I think it was Ricks ex wife Patty who described him as "the sly fox" in her book many years ago, I am sorry to say I think she was right in many ways. Did she mean Rick or Francis?! Francis ... she may be right, look at the red hair and the whiskers back in the 70s Patty doesn't always get a good press, but she's know the pair of them for a LONG LONG time. Time teaches us that just because someone has our emotions by the scruff of the neck, doesn't mean they are anything other than a very ordinary hoomin' being in all other ways, and humans do funny things (ie not funny-ha-ha) when the pressure gets going.
