Yes,Anne, I got it too but it was just a general Merry Christmas to all his facebook followers. He replied directly to a few well wishers like yourself but I noticed there was no direct reply to you… he was probably confused.🧐 Try contacting the real Tony via his email address: Either Tony carry.com or tcmusic@web.de Or...he knew he'd be in breach of his cease and desist order from Ritchie Blackmore. I’d been very close to him for about 5 years and we shared some very personal family stuff. We usually conversed through emails. I’m positive if there was legal issues happening, he would’ve let me know. After the great Houdini disappearance act, I contacted him through the email address he’d given me ( not his official one that I posted above) he never replied. After contacting his ‘official’ email address ,his final words of advice was that sorry mate he has a few trolls…. but welcome to the world of the internet! A very cold response.

Davy no. Was he the very negative Scottish guy? I remember someone who owned a spitfire and was going on about how jealous everyone was. 😂😂 maybe muzz
Old slug was a diehard FF as I remember
There was one quite young lad who I think was very upset because quo were no longer releasing physical media. He organised downloading dirty water for world water day or something.
There was someone who always spoke sense - waysted maybe?
Lorraine was a name I remember
Quolling I think reappeared online the night before the FF gig and got a roasting off some FF members.
Steel city quo I think I met at the bula quo premiere just because I happened to work nearby and swung over in my way home.
Quofann I think was American?
Good times

Wasnt it confirmed that "Tony" was from Stoke on Trent or something.

Quozone was another one I remember being a hard alanite ff fan
Thing is all these FF fans were proven right at the reunion. It was a different ballgame at Hammersmith. One I’d never witnessed and it fundamentally changed my opinion on much of the bands post 86 direction

I still reckon the funniest guy on any of the boards was that Irish fella … was it plastic chicken? His real name was Henry who sadly passed from health issues. Davyno was very funny with some of his humour but Henry was on another level. Speaking of where are they now ( actually should start a new thread) but some members who have just disappeared are lozza and Jayniiieee. I enjoyed Jayniieee’s quirky posts and became quite good friends with her through her generosity. I recall a post I put up asking if anyone on here could possibly purchase a Frantic Four signed lithograph for me, knowing my chances of getting one was zero, but she responded straight away saying no problem she’ll purchase one for me at Hammersmith and send it over to Australia. I got her bank details and paid her for the lithograph and postage. A few weeks later it turned up at my place along with a few extra Quo posters and her ticket thrown in. It was such a kind thing to do. Another time she sent over a Classic Rock magazine that I had trouble buying over here. She was a very generous person.

Good times Davy was forever going on about moon landing conspiracies Yes, I was his number 1 antagonist on that ‘moon landing’ thread back then. Time and time again I shot down every one of his conspiracy ideas about his belief it never happened. Deep down I believed he was way too proud to admit he was wrong which he was.(apologies Davey if you read this😂) We certainly had some ding dong arguments on here covering all types of weird conspiracies from alien landings, the pyramids, 9/11, crop circles,to con trails emitting off jet airliners … most centering on his deep mistrust of all governments. I just couldn’t believe how he’d respond immediately to any question or answer I gave him especially since I’m in Australia and would message mostly in the daytime when it’s, say, 2 or 3AM over in Scotland… and yes he’d answer straight away as if he never slept. It was as if he was on here 24/7!!😂 I miss those days.😵💫

So, where does the quocupsncafe site fit in? Was that an alternative to Ricky's short-lived affair? I think Mortified is involved, he'll know. mortified had shares in it I believe. Explains why he is now potless. That message board is still there: quocupsncafe.proboards.com/Very few people frequent it and it goes for weeks sometimes with no one posting. I was 'encouraged' to moderate it despite my protestations But there's nothing to moderate now. I just check in maybe once every couple of days to see if there's anything going on. Usually it's spammers and I kick them into touch Loz posted on there quite a lot until last year but has stopped due to health issues that make typing difficult. I sold my shares and bought a stamp. Second class But some right old names from the past cropping up in this thread 👍

I can’t remember who the poster was, but I think the quote that nuked the message board was regarding the Bula Quo single. People started posting responses after the track was played on Radio 2 that morning. All of the responses were in the negative but the one that made the mods hit the self destruct button was “Perfect Remedy era B side meets the Um Bongo advert”.

BlueHighway what has happened to him not seen him post on here for ages i liked the chats i had with him after i joined here BlueHighway, every family has Blue sheep and he was ours. He was an imposter pretending to be a famous keyboard player and like yourself I thought he was an okay bloke, but, seeing as I didn't actually know the bloke he was pretending to be, a bloke named Tony Carey who was in the band Rainbow so I never asked him about that side of his alleged life. I think one or two on here believed him and rightfully felt betrayed by this liar when the real Tony Carey was contacted by a board member and he found he was known to Carey as someone who was doing this.

I still remember you making everyone laugh with your posts on the non Quo chat section. There was normally some very heated and very personal comments on some threads but you would post something like “sack Fergie” or “sell Giggs” right in the middle of it.

"4 match ban for Evra" too I've gotten more sophisticated now. On social media, when there's a discussion about something or someone changes their profile picture, I tend to post, "In this economy??!?!" in the middle of it. Boils a lot of piss
