Your Smiling Face for me...
WYW is so overplayed and the way the band has played since 1990 has been soul destroying but, it's still a great song.
YSF just does not sound right to me

Easy trio.... Dreadful from the first time way back: CRWM, RO. Then a third.... a bit harder but:Runaway... Weakest of the ones left.

I suppose really I'm just voting for two with CRWM and RO being almost the same track. So it's those two and YSF, I cant vote for Runaway as I love the end part. YSF I find to be a nothing song. Plus knowing know how Rick was behaving at the time it's not a particualy nice lyric. My wife said "I would only be smiling at him, while kicking him in the balls".

Runaway for me as the stand out weakest , just a nothing track. I was going to vote for Whatever You Want - just on overplay and that I am fed up of of it live, but then took the view that the pole is not about that, its the three weakest songs, so putting aside overplay I left it alone. I did like it back in the day and its not the in my weakest three on the album. Went for Shady Lady , which unfortunately has gone completely the other way- used to think it was great - I know skip it . The third was much harder but mainly because Come Rock with Me/ Rockin' On are almost a duo, but plumped for Come Rock with Me as I prefer the more up tempo Rockin' On.

CRWM/RO for me. Plus High Flyer...always massively preferred Hard Ride, AL's other song from these sessions, much tighter/groovier/rockin'.

YSF just does not sound right to me Yeah, it's out of place in the running order maybe? Loses out as it starts abruptly immediately after WAY finishes in a similar way? Your ears aren't given any breathing space, and it's exactly the same tempo/rhythm too.

Your Smiling Face Living On An Island High Flyer
I like Hard Ride and Bad Company much more as the three I voted as least best. Would have been much better if HR and BC were on the WYW-album I think.

It has to be WYW for all the reasons said many times before connected with the increasing karaoke factor over the ages.
Next is Runaway - never been very keen on this.
Finally, I tend to agree with Lord Flasheart's wife, so YSF completes the three.

The execrable Come Rock With Me / Rockin' On, of course. I'm glad that's two tracks as I like everything else. However, Runaway seems the most formulaic in the Quo "more pop than rock" style, so that's my third.

I would say WYW,Shady Lady and Your Smiling Face.
YSF is the weakest followed by SL. WYW is just overplayed an not really that weak if you give it a chance again.

Sorry Folks, this is one album I can't discriminate against any of the songs. I love YSF and Runaway and High Flyer. I love the whole album. In fact, I really love Runaway so much I've put the cd on and programmed track 8 as High Flyer is only on the vinyl version. "Seems like the logical way at the time" I remember Nigel at Sandy's Records in Dee Why telling me this was a "concept album" Was he right, is there a common thread running through this album and what is it? ?? Dee Why is a suburb on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. May be the concept is that there are no bad songs on it

Tales of Topographic Quoceans? I think that if Breaking Away was written by anyone else it would be a "must hear before you run out of pretension" song. The most honest 'I'm in a rock band' song ever written by a British band. When I heard this I actually thought the end was nigh.Every song written by a band member and lyrically a very fine effort indeed.
