Something like this, Frozenhero? Sorry but I don't have the Quo font. You have got to hand it to Francis and Rick dodging that bottle like pro's. "You alright? you must be getting tired... what's wrong with you.. You alrightttttt.... right, then explain this to me... Why have so many people lost their bottles today? I don't fancy somebodies bottle in my face, thank you! if you want to lose your bottle out there keep it to yourself." and that photo, I've never really been a fan because it's a bit out of focus and over saturated around the stage lights... so i combined it with another I prefer the crowd on this one and how it looks. (not sure why the rest of the fireworks are cut off...) These photos are courtesy of QuoLlector as well... had them for a while. Soon I'll be getting a copy of Gerards book Hammering Years! 34 pages on Milton Keynes, yes please

You have got to hand it to Francis and Rick dodging that bottle like pro's. Do you think the designer of the original VHS cover was being humorous by selecting a still shot from the video where Frame & Rick are looking up at the bottle that is ready to hit them?

Do you think the designer of the original VHS cover was being humorous by selecting a still shot from the video where Frame & Rick are looking up at the bottle that is ready to hit them? Could have been, then again it looks like they're looking at the "Quo End of The Road" logo. Personally I can't think of any other shot that would have been better for the front but I guess it's cause I'm used to it... and it's similar to the front of the NEC 82 gig VHS cover That videoform intro was my childhood... and then the helicopter sound or the text "4am Milton Keynes Bowl". I watched the More From The Road gig so much and I remember my VHS player chewing it up

Amazing what people post up on Youtube these days.... That said mine was a Channel 5 version so had a different intro. That intro is just brings back nostalgia of playing the VHS tapes. opening the case and seeing the blue videoform label titled Quo End Of The Road/More From The Road... The company mustn't have been around for long as the videoform releases come out at the beginning and end of '85... and then in '86 they were being re-released under Channel 5, which was then bought out by Polygram in the late 90's. I now remember what happened to my dads Videoform version... he ended up buying the Channel 5 copy cause I was constantly watching the Videoform copy and my dad didn't want it to be worn out. Then in the end he got rid of the Videoform copy cause it was pointless keeping two copies Shame really. Have to say I hated the Channel 5 cover for the More From The Road release Videoform/Channel 5; End of The Road More From The Road Spectrum; The Greatest Hits of Status Quo Anyone remember this...

Did they ever release it on those huge video discs? Laserdisc? they did but it was only a japan release I think, and they used the same picture that was used on the Birmingham NEC 82 VHS I've never seen a DVD transfer from the laserdisc version though... I'll have to try and hunt down a copy of it.

Quite possibly the best bootleg I have of the Milton Keynes gig... that good, it almost sounds as if its a bootleg of the actual recording... and it includes the radio chatter that came through the PA if any of you wish to hear that again to take you back 33 years to Milton Keynes

Bloody hell thats brilliant! Wonderful to hear that again. Great quality! I used to love all the helicopter noise and strobes before BBJ. Is the whole gig available? That would go on repeat listening!

That would go on repeat listening! It is if you would like a copy. Ill have to sort a few of the tracks out like i had to with Bye Bye Johnny cause theyre a bit slow and not the correct pitch... but I'll drop a link when its done Cheers

Oh yes that would be an absolute treat! I've only ever had a crappy bootleg that I bought in the 90s and never really played because it sounded like it was recorded from a LW radio in the room next door.

I wonder what the quality of the laserdisc version is like? Presumably better than a VHS?

Just done a quick scan on ebay.
You can get a laserdisc player for £200 and Rocking All Over The Years, arguably their best filmed concert, on LD for £7!!
That's got to be worth a punt hasn't it?
