'Bula Quo', 'Don't Stop', 'QPQ". Dreadful albums.....yet this, THIS, could actually be the worst album Quo have ever recorded. Sounds like the worst since since the 60's. Matter of opinion.
I like the fiskadelic/pre boogie era. Besides, it was the same four guys (+ keyboards) who produced the 60's material that went on to become the iconic boogie kings of British rock.
Anyone remember them

I can't remember an album release by this band causing so little excitement/ anticipation amongst it's devoted fans
By devoted ,I mean the ones who enjoy and support everything they do
Be surprised if sales are as much as half compared to A1

QPQ is one of my favorite QUO albums of all time I know people are very divided about this album. I know both FF and CQ fans either seem to love it or hate it. For me even as an ff fan there is still things on that album that I did and do enjoy, particularly Frozen Hero, Dust to Gold and Movin on.

QPQ is a weird one
The songs released before the album really got the majority of us going...Then, when the album came out, we realised we had already heard the best of it...
That and Rossi actually being told by Porter to write songs like Paper Plane and then being half arsed about it in interviews

There is a shadow of a shadow here of what might have been ... the vocals on Thats a Fact and HYB are more up front than on the original recordings. But I am going to miss out on the better stuff by giving the worser stuff a wide berth, I think. There's a decent bit of slide on something in there, and there are bits yes without the cheesy backing or the whinier bits of the orchestra. Jam Side Down isn't bad. Maybe they should have just stuck with the pop tunes and left the rockers alone.

To be honest - I don't think it's that bad,it's just the dreadful One For The Road I don't like. I'm sorry if I have offended anyone by airing my opinions, but that's how I feel. Just listened to it after reading the new FTMO mag. What's the point of asking Andy to write something like "Rock till you Drop" and he comes up with something that sounds like they recycled the RTYD click track while on Mogadon? (do people still take Mogadon?)

What's the point in asking anyone to write a song similar to another?
Just do it yourself

Just listened to my first sample, never, EVER again!!!
ROLD, wtf was he thinking? Must be the worst snippet I have heard from any band anywhere.
