Resurrection sounds quite good, The original always seemed a bit bland / "by numbers".... and lyrically this version is the same... but as you say there is a good "sound" to this version. Not sure about the rest of the song, but on this short clip at least I do like the prominence of guitars, bit of harmonica, and no cheesy backing or orchestral stuff getting in the way. Just listened to these clips and that's the only one that really sounded if it might be ok. Why? cos that's how they should have approached this whole acoustic thing. Guitars right at the front, bit of harp, blues things up and throw in plenty of new interesting guitar solos.

The 'other side' is remarkably quiet on Acquostic 2. Even they seemed to be stunned in to silence by the sheer dullness and awfulness.
Resurrection is perhaps the only song with a degree of acceptability...wonder who they got in to play the guitar lead? Rossi can only strum along so I seriously doubt it was him.
That this once fine band has been brought to this low level and inevitable end (they have no where else to go) is all indefensible and very very sad. Rossi is a truly unforgivable *****r of the highest order. Cannot stand the man myself as he is false and not to be trusted. I can understand why a large part of the British public laugh at Quo and think they are pathetic. The 'other side' will probably now start reinventing, Parfitt has been written out already as part of their memory, and the next thing will be pleading and excitement over 'Richie' and "francis' working together on songs for a new album with the wonderful 'original members' Rhino and Andy and how well they have kept the show on the road....very shallow in my opinion as they will accept absolutely everything that management decides can be labelled under Status Quo.

This is the (final?) and best Rossi p!ss take so far.....
He never bothered in 40 years to play TAF live...then decided to slaughter it and call it aquostic is just bollocks...
Nothing aqoustic about any of the songs ,he just came up with this idea and have managed to destroy Quos great legacy completely.
Yes I am bitter, and I've always known it would end in tears....but not in this way!!

Credit it where it's due, Resurrection sounds like it could be a good one
Otherwise, is it just me or, do they all sound the fucking same?

What's ironic is the best "sound" seems to be one of the songs that, Francis said, "OK, I've done 13 tracks the way I want them done. Maybe we can let Rick see if he fancies doing something with one of the lesser known songs"

As if they knew Rick wouldn't be back.

If you're reading Alan, if you thought what you went through before is bad, you ain't seen nowt yet

Oh the utter irony of Resurrection - "I'm going to play some rock and roll" cue the Hawaiian guitars and what sound like ukeleles, I can only hope Rossi didn't force Andy Bown into a grass skirt...

Am I the only one who's getting Bellavista Man instead of Lover of The Human Race?
Some of the songs I liked, some - not so, but in general this seems to be a more interesting and diverse effort than Aqoustic I.
