Cajun food is yummy! Jambalaya, for example, is a delight both to prepare and eat
I first saw Quo live on the RAOTW tour, so the album cannot have negative connotations to me anyway - but the re-mix has elevated it and the songs featured on the tour from the set list back then now sound closer to where the live sound very much still was in 77 - rather than the original recording being somewhat akin to putting a conch to your ear to listen to them.

I stomached RAOTW - thought where did the bass and thump go, but thought songs were generally okay, still with some WTF moments, BUT 2 seconds into IYCSTH was the first genuine truly genuine WTF moment I'd ever had with Quo. I was stunned. I could defend Quo to the hilt when they were heavy and bluesy, to anyone, but this, this would take some effort to defend or even want to. It was listened to once and then shelved. Liked the album cover. Yep agree, I still have a mint condition IYCSTH album in the milk crate.

Agree, catlady. The Southern States of USA has some great tasting food. Buzz gave me some tips on what to eat in New Orleans and it was delicious.

I always thought IYCSTH was also another attempt at cracking America so I'm not surprised you like it. I think it's mediocre and not as good as the 3 albums that followed it. I like the sound of it, but there's some dodgy songs on it. Definitely agree about IYCSTH being another attempt at cracking America. Some bright spark at the record company decided that RAOTW should be mixed to sound best on American AM radio. That didn't work so the bright sparks next idea was "the big production" and that's where the horn section, female backing vocals and layers of overdubbed guitars come in on IYCSTH. I'm Giving Up My Worryin' is for me the worst song ever by the original line up and makes Baby Boy seem like 4500 Times. While I think it's great. But then, I've given up my worryin' about what others think and just enjoy listening. Truth to tell, I feel like a real Quo fan now, with people bashing me for liking some of their music and me not giving a damn what they think.

I remember they did 5 tracks from the album during the Rocking' all over the world tour. They all went down well at the Glasgow Apollo. Overall, There were a lot of good songs on the album, but it was too polished. The remix strips back some of the over production. It was certainly better than anything thing from 1982 onwards.
That is all

Even with me being a diehard FF fan,I have to admit that they did some utter crap in amongst the classics. And what I or anyone else may consider crap may be wonderful to you and it's ridiculous to bash somebody about liking an individual track. However, albums are a different matter altogether and whilst we all have to accept that tastes vary,on the official MB a few years back, somebody claimed that the ISOTFC album was second only to Piledriver. If he had said "I really like the ISOTFC album",then nobody could really argue with that, but to claim it was second only to Piledriver is frankly bollocks and he was held to ridicule about it and rightly so IMO.

Oh, sorry. I didn't know there was an authorized list of where the albums rated, and that you weren't allowed to deviate. Could somebody please publish it?
