Poor Rick he must have known a good 2nd hand car salesman to get all those Porsches, rolls Royce's and Ferraris. As for the 40 million records for a band as popular as SQ over 50 years BS. 120 million Quo's management claim.... That means they've outsold Metallica, Guns n Roses, Fleetwood Mac, Rod Stewart and are in touching distance of U2, who have 3 albums in the highest selling ever list. I also never see Quo in any of the highest selling lists. 120 million albums? Utter bullshit. 120 million albums and singles sold? Much more plausible and believable... Remember, Quo's management never said "albums" it was always "units" I hope it is 120 million tbh. It looks better

Just why did Alan and John have Bob as manager on the reunion tours and not Simon and Duroc?

The interview seemed a bit of a rush job. It did not give us anything new really as we all know Rossi hates anything related to the classic Quo era and that he is a money grabber. The 120 million must mean TOTAL units sold, that is plausible. Pity no questions were asked about the Frantic Four reunion gigs, that would have been interesting. Gotta say Nuff is looking good, must be those buckwheat pancakes!

Shots fired "The Anti Quoist" "Francis was the first recruit" was a good one too.

A full, in depth, interview with Nuff is long overdue.

Hi All, davec Many thanks for the interview link....
Well that cleared up a lot of things as far as I am concerned, all the negativity surrounding Francis has proven to be justified, I had always thought it was impossible to blame just one person in the band how wrong I was. So basically Quo were a cash-cow for the money men which in turn never passed all what was generated onto the band ? Mix that with Francis and his egotistic behaviour, Cocaine and it was just a recipe for disaster I would even suggest he was quite paranoid unless that was a side effect from the Cocaine.
So sad that a once great band ended in such turmoil and finally dissolved (Until record company waved contract in his face) because somebody couldn't keep their noses clean, basically just chucked the whole ethos of what the band was about when being on their top form. Especially when you consider the albums that followed Johns and Alan's forced departures! so so sad and I can understand why Francis does not want more of the reunion gigs, more than likely embarrassed at his own actions when they could have so easily been overcome if he had just talked to the other members before acting....
Geoff.

One up side to taking lots of drugs is artificial stamina, we might not have got the massively extended 4500 Times otherwise. Remember it was Spud, the 'sober' one who was bored of it. Rossi essentially 'led' the whole thing.

Thanks for posting, I really enjoyed that.
What a lovely, down-to-earth and straight talking guy Alan is. He may have had it all taken from under his nose, but he doesn't seem bitter and at least he has retained his dignity and our respect.

If Alan is right about the anti-Quoist, then Francis is still very addicted to cocaine
Thanks for posting, really enjoyed that

Thanks for posting, short but much better than the self centred "unsecure little show off" pish we get from Rossi time and time again.
I am just very grateful that they made up in time for the two reunion tours. Imagine how much more depressing that interview would have been with Nuff if those two tours had not happened ! His singing and Spuds playing were the highlights of the reunion gigs. So glad to have been to 6 of those gigs and having DVDs and CDs to watch and listen too over and over again !

Love his cheeky wee laugh when he says "it's a bit strange, starting a band when you couldn't play an instrument!" about 56 seconds in.

It looks better Trust me on this FW, I had one of the old Quo books and it said that by the end of 1981,Quo had sold around 12 million singles and 8 million albums, therefore 20 million total records sold. I also remember an interview in The Sun from the end of 1988 when Burning Bridges was high in the chart. The article stated that they had sold 120 million records.A few big hits aside, the albums and singles from 82-88 were average or poor sellers. And since the failure of Perfect Remedy, only the greatest hits albums and novelty covers albums have sold.100 million sounds great but an act that has hardly sold anything in the USA cannot have sold that amount.
