Good on Alan for being upfront and honest. Would have liked to have heard his opinion on the reunion and the aftermath of that but a good enough interview in itself. Its actually refreshing to hear him talk and Rick when he is away from Francis. They just provide a different, honest, perspective on the band. Francis is definitely the devil in disguise isn't he.

Thanks for the link Davec . Strange the band have never seen a royalty cheque ? Was this the crux of the matter when Alan and then John had to sue for monies owing from recordings and greatest hits packages released after their departures ? Echoing previous posts , it is refreshing and believable to listen to Alan , no music / showbiz bollocks , just plain talking .Wish we could gave heard more , and what he believes the future holds for himself as a musician .

The whole situation he went through must've torn him apart with the court case, the fact that a few others outside the band made millions from them, getting sacked from his own band, etc and I wonder if all that stress he went through may have triggered his illness.He can hold his head high.

Alan is very emphatic about how cocaine destroyed Quo. I wonder how much he was personally affected by it? So much has been said about Francis and Rick and how their lives have been influenced/changed by the binge and drugs days - but clearly Alan has really got his life together since he was out of Quo.
I'm sure he isn't bullet proof either - but at this very late and dysfunctional time in SQ history, he appears much more level headed in his dotage than either of them.
The reunions should have happened so much sooner - he has been sorely missed by Quo. |

Poor Rick he must have known a good 2nd hand car salesman to get all those Porsches, rolls Royce's and Ferraris. As for the 40 million records for a band as popular as SQ over 50 years BS.
