Well I'm watching it out of curiosity. The thing that has struck me most so far is that I can't really see that the way they are playing is any less strenuous than an electric set, contradicting one of the reasons given for hanging up the electrics. Thats exactly what I thought too. If they can play acoustic guitars standing up they can play electric ones!!!

Gene Wilder wins all day long. There was a Wonka on the Red Button. Playing bass. There was more than one from what I saw.

As someone who much prefers FF, that show was a triumph for (Rossi's) Quo. Crowd loved it and average Joe at home will have loved it too.
The songs are so good that even played in a different style, they still hold up imo. Agree with many that Acquostic could have been done better but it's still catchy and recognisably "Quo".
Not my preference but likely that this is "Status Quo" for the forseeable future (Last Night of Electrics excepted)

Well PC Jim Carver from 'The Bill' seemed to be enjoining himself on the accordian.

Oh well, Madness next. I love them and they haven't desecrated their legacy. This afternoon hasn't been a complete loss.

I'm listening on the radio. It focusses even more on the vocals with no visuals.
Its over now anyway...
The Great Western Festival and The Marquee in 72 seem like they never happened...
and its goodnight from me...struggle to get a couple of hours sleep before I drag myself off to work. Monday morning. :-( Sleep tight. Hope you don't have nightmares (being chased by a giant accordion etc.).

Even doing Acoustic they can't get it right with Rhino using Electric Bass..? And they were using microphones and a P.A. Would have been much better without IMO

I thought Francis might of sent his best wishes to Rick, but that was probably asking for too much.
